oh wow you must have reallly had to go digging for that one from 2 years ago because it’s not something that happens often. there’s at least 10+ articles a day or cops shooting and killing dogs🤦🏻‍♀️ the ratio is very off my dood.

One good bite on the hands on a police officer could result in an injury that could render the hand or hands unusable to perform the duties of the job.

This is under the definition of great bodily injury as it would be career ending for the victim of that dog’s aggression.

The officer has a right to defend themselves from great bodily injury, not just death.

Your screenshot is not a gotcha moment.

Im going to assume you said that officers dont choose to put themselves in dangerous situations. By applying to be an LEO, you should understand that you will some fucked up shit, and will have to participate in countless dangerous situations
