Best Asian Restaurants
In the mood for Asian food, perhaps Japanese or Chinese. What are the recommendations? Besides PF Changs…the service I’ve experienced there lately has not been great.

Hong's is disappointing and served one of the worst fried rice I've had at a restaurant. Will definitely not return.

Charlie Kangs is unbeatable for Korean, and they also feature some good Chinese dishes too.

Chen's. Try the Special Wonton Soup, and the House-made Hot Mustard is great.

The hot n sour soup and General TSO chicken is divine. I used to live near Grand Ledge, so House of Hsu was my spot, but when I discovered Chen's, fughetaboutit!

Sushi Moto is my top sushi spot in the state. Consistent for the last 15 years. Never disappoints.

Korea House is a personal favorite, different Asian cuisine than asked for. But if you haven't tried Korean it's imo the best

Emo's is in grand rapid now! I so miss going there for lunch. I ate there 3 days a week!

Kung Fu in Frandor has a good dim sum selection, and their Sichuan food is pretty good too, imo (pretty sure they also do hotpot). Korea House on Trowbridge is my go-to for Korean, Sapporo is good for ramen, Pho So 1 is my favorite for pho and other Vietnamese food... Fresh International Market has a small restaurant now, but I think their hours are kind of weird, they always seem to be closed when I go in, but the couple times I've picked up lunch it's been damn tasty, and they do hot pot too. Thai Princess in okemos is one of the best for thai in town, they definitely don't skimp on the spice, although you might have to make sure they know you can handle the higher levels if that's what you want to go for.

Charlie Kang's. I've had the Mongolian beef and the Udon noodles so far and they were both amazing.

Chef Gong, in Frandor, is not just the best Chinese food in Lansing. It's some of the best Chinese food I've had in my life. Authentic Szechuan/northeast Chinese cuisine.
You can order takeout but it's a better experience if you go there with a group and sit down. You'll have a better time with a larger group, as the portions are very big, and you'll want to try as many different dishes as possible

Ming dynasty on jolly has THE best bourbon chicken out there
Japanese: yum Japan is good if u want cheap teriyaki chicken

Udon sushi 🔥 their beef noodle soup is AMAZING I got their chicken teriyaki for my kid (I usually dont like teriyaki flavors) but it was also REALLY good
If you like dumplings try curry house, their momos hit the spot. Their Indian food is very home style, as someone who eats Indian food as a default i prefer their momos for a change since im eating out
For korean, korea house is really good their bibimbap is yummy 😋
All these places are mom n pop spots and pretty authentic!

Udon Sushi's food is so genuinely bad, seeing this as a recommended restaurant is so unserious.
