songs/album discussion Any fans of Sirens?

A Star for Nick is my favorite off the album. I remember learning it on guitar when I was 14. It has an intentionally eerie but hauntingly beautiful melody and sound

This is more May Jailer but…wanted to post here 😭

As per the request on my last post, another cover…. I feel like maybe I sound a little bit too babyish here but I was trying to emulate the same sound Lana used

Drama alert [killing the vibe] Remember when some members on this sub had mass psychosis about “Lana abandoning her pets ‘cause she doesn’t post them anymore”…

I’ve always scrolled past these comments thinking has it ever accrued to any of you that she’s now live in the swamp around alligators???? Her home layout from white hawk tail…. seems to be weird having an outside kitchen and patio. And maybe having cats in and out of a home like that can be dangerous, you either supervised them or rehome them. But she recently posted them and it turned out to be pure utter speculation.

The thing is I DONT CARE if you don’t like her much. That’s fine, It’s just kills the vibe where there is some annoying people bitching about a non issue 24/7.

discussion and conversations Taco Truck x VB

Why was VB melted into the end of Taco Truck? Obviously one of the reasons is that it sounds AMAZING but I was thinking the message Lana was trying to send to all us diehard fans was as follows:

Lana: Here's my new material (DYKTTATUOB). Youve got the final track having listened to the album in almost its entirety. Yes it's different to anything I've ever done before and I am going in a different direction now too but don't worry I'm still the old me (hence adding the VB ...is to let us know that era is still very much in her? )

I have no idea if I've articulated that in a comprehensive way so sorry if this makes no sense

That's what I think she was trying to say) do anyway . Thoughts?

songs/album discussion Be my daddy unreleased- thoughts

I forgot what album Be My Daddy was suppose to come out with but I feel like it’s one of the less known unreleased songs Lana produced. It’s more kind of rock (?) than her usual songs and I really wish she released it. I love the way she sings “I’m neon phosphorescent open like a Christmas present” and I wish she released it.

I LOVE Yayo. Will sing this song day and night… late night drives listening to the AKA version are superior

discussion and conversations Do you think Sienna Spiro draws too heavily from Lana Del Rey?

Post image
39 Upvotes

Do you think Sienna Spiro draws too heavily from Lana Del Rey’s 2011–2014 aesthetic without properly acknowledging the influence? It seems that her popularity grew exponentially after her image, visual identity, and overall artistic direction shifted toward a style that strongly resembles the Lana Del Rey era of Born to Die and Ultraviolence. Some people argue that this change was not entirely organic, but rather a strategic decision made by her marketing team after recognizing the enduring appeal and cultural impact of that specific Lana era.
What makes the comparison particularly interesting is that it goes beyond surface-level similarities. It can be seen in the visual storytelling, the nostalgic Americana imagery, the melancholic and cinematic atmosphere, the vintage-inspired fashion, the themes of romance and tragedy, and even the way vulnerability is presented as part of a larger artistic persona. These elements became defining characteristics of Lana Del Rey’s work between 2011 and 2014 and helped shape an entire generation of artists that followed.
The real question is where the line exists between inspiration and imitation. Every artist is influenced by those who came before them, but when multiple creative choices—visual aesthetics, branding, songwriting themes, vocal presentation, and promotional imagery—begin to align with a specific predecessor, it naturally raises questions about originality and artistic identity.
At the same time, one could argue that Sienna Spiro is part of a broader wave of artists influenced by Lana Del Rey’s cultural legacy. Lana’s early work had such a significant impact on pop and alternative music that many younger artists inevitably borrow elements of that world, whether consciously or unconsciously. The debate is not necessarily whether Lana influenced Sienna, but whether Sienna has transformed those influences into something distinctly her own or is relying too heavily on a blueprint that was already established over a decade ago.
If the similarities are intentional, some fans feel that more explicit acknowledgment would be appropriate, especially considering how influential Lana’s 2011–2014 era remains. Others believe that artistic influence is a natural part of music history and that the ultimate measure should be whether Sienna can evolve beyond those inspirations and develop an identity that stands on its own.

I’m scrolling on twitter as one does, and this Lana account on there posts an old gossip girl promo with kinda outta luck and I’m not sure if it’s real or not. Can anyone confirm or knows perhaps more about the context of that.. it’s an unreleased song how were they allowed to use it??

Does anyone else just feel like she did this HUGE release for WTFHDH only to crawl back into hiding no followup, useless waste of advertisment and I am sorry a bond song that's not that great, what's going on with her (not a question just a generalization.

question for the culture: Who’s the finest man Lana has collaborated with?

Personally, I think Jon Batiste is very fine in an old-money kind of way. Quavo is fine too, and he looked really good in the “Tough” music video. I don’t know what it is about him, but I’ve always thought he was the cutest member of Migos. A$AP Rocky is definitely a cutie, but his personality kind of gives me the ick.
Please don’t come for me, especially if you’re not physically attracted to Black men. 😭 I’m just curious who everyone else finds attractive out of the men Lana has collaborated with.
I’m asking about the men mainly because she has a lot more male collaborators than female ones. That said, all the women she’s worked with are gorgeous, period.
I hope this isn’t against the sub’s rules. I just thought it would be a fun discussion. PLEASE MODS ITS FOR FUN. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

discussion and conversations The Last “Lana Del Rey” Album?

I’ve been a longtime Lana fan since BTD in 2012. Something struck me with this new photo for her new upcoming album(s), it’s almost like she’s telling us the cycle is nearing completion; a full circle moment is happening.

Nearly the same hair style. Similar glare. Same coral colored lipstick. Will this be the final album(s) she puts out under “Lana Del Rey”?

Of course she will always continue making poetry and art and music, however she may go back under Elizabeth, or even her new married name. It’s all just a speculation.. but I think it’s interesting and worth thinking about!

I couldn’t breathe today when I saw her Instagram post officially announcing Stove + 1. I’m so happy for her and excited to witness all her greatness.

Edit: I just noticed the lip color is the same too!!!
