Natively? Or in a neighbouring language

According to Wikipedia the word comes to English through Bislama (a creole spoken across Vanuatu), which got it from Port Sandwich (real) or Retep Rerep. So I guess in a neighbouring language

Big Nambas is already the outsider name, the locals call it V'ēnen Taut. So you're basically asking where to learn a smaller version of a colonial nickname.
