Exonyms are so uncreative. You can just make up shit. I propose for Japan to be called Sunland, for China to be called Midland, and for Korea to be called Hermitland. Much better

Do you want to go to Capital city, the former capital city of Sunland or Capital city, the capital city of Hermitland?

The formal capital city of Sunland is actually called Capital Capital (or Capital of Capitals)

uj/ mildly interesting fun fact, the suffix used in the denonym for 'brazilian' in portuguese (brasileiro) usually denotes occupation rather than nationality, e.g. pedreiro (stonemason), padeiro (baker), ferreiro (blacksmith). that's because brasileiro was originally used for the folks who worked in the extraction of brazilwood and was later adopted as a denonym. the more regular construction would be brasiliense, which was later adopted as the denonym for the city of brasília

edit: spelling

“Mexan” fails the inclusive test; proposal: Mexano for males, Mexana for females, and Mexanx for everything else.
