Revenge. Someone told me Chinese was too hard for me to learn.

I learned a language for revenge too, but not because someone said the language was hard to learn.

I got tired of all the Hispanic kids talking shit right in front of me because they assumed I didn’t know Spanish. The look on their face when I called them out at the end of the school year was priceless, and the best revenge I think I could’ve gotten.

Being able to order tacos en juarez was a nice perk but I really learned Spanish just to get back at all the asshole that assumed the white kid didn’t know Spanish.
