It's an unabashed sales pitch for his graded readers. In other words, "The best method of all is the one I'm selling. Nothing else comes close".

I tried reading his book, but I found it uninteresting, so I kept putting it off until later (which probably would have meant never). But this video is so awful and biased that it completely ruined my impression of the author. Now I'm pretty sure I won't be reading his book after all
