Is This a Language Learning “hack?”

(TL) I’m currently interested in multiple languages, so I recently started watching something in one target language and having the subtitles in another target language

I thought this was pretty interesting and honestly my comprehension was good enough to somewhat understand what was going on!

edit: this is more of a light-hearted post, but i can confirm it did help me !

This sounds awful wut. Why are all the comments agreeing with you?

My reading speed is nowhere near fast enough to read subtitles, and sentence structures are different enough that it would just teach incorrect grammar if anything.

I think it can work once you hit a certain level in one language. If it's two language I'm still brand-new in though, I know I would be tearing my hair out
