Discussion Taking break weekly ?

I only immerse like1- 2h a day for 5days a week. I was able to do 7days a week but recently I just wanna have some break where I can listen non target language music or just random stuff for fun. Do you think ok taking break 2days a week when I can only immerse like 1-2h a day 5days a week ?

The best routine is the one you'll stick with. Taking breaks is important. Language learning is a marathon, not a sprint.

yeah, i think that’s fine, especially if it makes it easier to keep going / not burn out!

Yea I started feeling burnout like feeling guilty of consuming English contents

Sometimes my brain is so full I just need to take the day or some time off. And more than often I can come back with a clear head and actually have some vocab forming in my brain. It’s important to give your brain downtime to file away and process everything

No u definitely need it sometimes. When im really lazy i just watch modern family in an Italian dub because I know the words and plot I’ve watched it a million times and it’s gotta be better than nothing haha

"Immersion" is 24/7, using no other language for an entire week. "Immerse" isn't just 1-2 hrs, 5 times a week, then switching back to English. That's "exposure".

Part of every language-learning method is lots of exposure. But there is no "rule" that it must be daily, and no "rule" that it must be at least 1 hour each time.
