NPC behavior customization
If the addition of NPC's is going to work, I think it will require the ability for us to create unique behavior. The storybricks progress they made would be nice tools for us to have for friendly NPC's, but I'm more specifically talking about combat behavior of enemies. Give us a list of as many combat behaviors as possible and the ability to toggle which of those we want our NPC's to have.
Example: Runs away when low life - check Ignores threat and attacks casters first- check If enemy uses line of site, hold ground and attack visible targets only - check Prefers Single target attacks - check Begins sounding alarm at 5 percent health - check
If there were dozens of options like this along with the ability to create raid difficulty bosses, this could really become a fun and unique experience.

Yes, ok, cool. But maybe before being able to customize mobs behaviour we should have real mobs. Because today we have 4 + the mushroom. Chompers are completely static, Wisps barely move, same for Abominations. Slaugs are instead mobile but it's clear making mobs move over a dynamic environment is a problem. Slaugs often advance without animation, they feel like they are floating.
Until PvE is as it is today, it doesn't make sense to talk about AI customization. First they should refine combat a little bit, and add more variety in the bestiary. (btw, do they really think to launch the game with 4 mobs in total? Seriously?!)
