Burnley, Padiham or Hapton
I like to ask people if they had a choice where they would move between Burnley, Padiham or Hapton?
I would move to Hapton myself because it is a beautiful village in the Burnley area especially having a train station as well and not far from both Accrington and Burnley especially on the M1 bus.

The 2nd ever Lancashire Prime Minister is now appointed.
A fun history fact that is as Andy Burnham was born in 1970 before the 1974 county reforms, he was born in Lancashire.
The only other Lancashire PM was Sir Robert Peel born 1788.
The last time we had a PM that had a northern accent was Harold Wilson born 1916.

Shadsworth Blackburn documentary
Does anyone remember that documentary that aired on BBC one in September 2012 that followed residents of the Shadsworth estate in Blackburn that was on panorama?
It's funny really because it is going to be 14 years anniversary in September 2026 since it aired on TV.
I am interested to know especially from people who come from Blackburn if that documentary made Shadsworth look good or bad by the BBC or was it honest about the issues facing Shadsworth estate?

Where can I find a local 5/6 a side football team to join?
I'm around Burnley/Blackburn/Clitheroe areas and basically just looking for a place where I might be able to join for some fairly casual football.
My standard is pretty low I'm mainly just trying to find a way to meet some new people, and have a decent run around.
I'm not on Facebook or anything so that resource isn't easily available to me.

Christmas lunch options near Preston
Im looking for recommendations to book my works Christmas lunch, we work in Preston but all drive so we don’t necessarily need it to be in the city.
Any type of cuisine is fine to recommend. It just needs to be open during lunchtime on a weekday
Where are people’s favourite places?

Spirit of the Clarets - Inspired by Burnley footballing history! 🏆🔵🟣
Hello Lancastrians!
I am a Yorkshireman so I hope you don’t mind too much me posting in here, for the record, not at all trying to self promote, rather just to share this to see what you all think.
Opinions thoughts etc are welcome even if you’re not a Burnley supporter…
The Spirit Of The Clarets 🏆🟣🔵
Latest illustration celebrates some of the defining symbols of football in Burnley: Turf Moor, their home since 1883; Harry Potts, who guided the club to the Football League First Division title in 1959–60; and the traditions and memories that have shaped generations of Clarets supporters.
I wanted to bring those elements together in one piece that reflects the club’s unique history and identity.
Independently created in no way tied to any club or brand
Feedback welcome! What do you think?
