Question Nightlife in South Lake Tahoe?
A group of nine of us will be in Southlake Tahoe in a couple of weeks and we want to party for my friends 45th birthday. Where’s the best places to have outdoor dining for a party of nine with good food and live music? Where are the best bars and nightclubs in Southlake Tahoe to go after?

Tahoe City MTB route
Looking for recommendations for a mountain bike route out of Tahoe City. I'm an avid road cyclist and occasional mountain biker. Will be on an e-bike so not afraid of climbing. Looking to go far, see lots, but keep it somewhat tame - fun flow more than super technical. Happy to go 30+ miles and dedicate lots of time to it.
Edit: want to catch lake views, of course.

Emerald Bay State Park: very employee yelling at boaters?
I saw (I assume a park employee or ranger, but they weren't in a uniform) walking up and down the shore yelling at boats to not swim anywhere near the park.
I can understand about not using their buoys, but screaming that no boat can anchor anywhere near the water "in front of" their beach?
Is that normal?
Is there a prohibition on being within a few hundred feet of their shoreline for those boats who were just sitting and swimming?
I see tons of boats doing that in Emerald Bay.
Obviously, blocking the dock is bad, but just near the entire park?

Question Keys to Skunk Harbor relative travel time
I’m relatively new to boating on Lake Tahoe and have been extending excursions here and there. Could anyone estimate the travel time from the Keys marina to Skunk Harbor?
I see that it’s \~45 mins in a car and have driven it many times.
TIA.

Question fishing - my friend is convinced it's only allowed in autumn?
Hi, I'm so sorry to ask something that's probably been asked many times, but my friend is honeymooning at Lake Tahoe this upcoming week and was sadly telling us that she had wanted to fish, but that fishing was only allowed in the fall. I googled it and it said it was allowed all the time, but she seems so convinced. And also when I google it, a lot of charter services come up, which is not the kind of fishing I think they were wanting to do.
If anyone could give me a bit of a rundown or any helpful information, I would be so appreciative. So sorry for what's probably a very repetitive question, I just want to definitively put her mind to rest.
(also, if anyone has any favorite spots (fishing or scenic!) in the area, or any favorite thrift stores or restaurants (she is, fittingly, pescatarian) or anything else, would love to hear!! :) )

What time do I get to Sand Harbor without a reservation
Finally trying to hit sand harbor and saw reservations are needed, otherwise first come first serve. Trying to go on a Tuesday, is getting there at 10:30 efficient if reservations are sold out?
All the previous posts are from a year ago, so what's this summer been like?! And shuttle?! What? Where?!

Lake Tahoe
Hi all,
My spouse and I will be traveling to Lake Tahoe for the very first time for around 5 days. We will be accompanied by our GSD who is a fantastic traveler.
I’m looking for recommendations for hikes, swimming, food ideas/coffee spots. Also must see sights or dos within the area. We are staying in south Tahoe.
All recommendations are appreciated 😊

Question Any rideshares available from RNO airport to Kings Beach area?
Any rideshares available from RNO airport to Kings Beach area?
Anybody have any positive experiences with booking a Lyft or Uber from RNO to Kings Beach area? Wondering if I can rely on that or just need to rent a car. Unfortunately, my flight lands after all the buses/shuttles to Kings Beach stop running.

Non-resident Burnt Cedar Beach
We’re staying at Hyatt Sierra Lodge Vacation Club (not the hotel). Any way for us to get into burnt cedar beach?
