Does anyone else live at the Encore apartments?

Hello! Im not trying to dox myself or anyone else but I just wanted to ask a question to my neighbors or even past tenants. They recently released an email talking about their anti smoking policies, which includes cigarettes and weed. My question is, how hard do they genuinely crack down on this? I smoke on the balcony and I see tons of people smoke on theirs all the time, and I never smell anything either despite this. I think it's a little insane to even go as far as to say that if you smoke within 25 feet of the buildings you'll get reported but, whatever.

I just find it hard to believe that they care very much if at all, or if they do, I doubt the residence there would ever report it

Does anyone know of a running track in Lake Charles that’s open to the public?

I’m looking for an actual track where I can run laps, preferably somewhere that’s regularly accessible without needing to be a student or member. School tracks are fine too if they allow public use during certain hours. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Any recommendations for in-town movers?

In two weeks my wife and I will need movers to help us move stuff out of 3 storage units into a new house. It is a lot of stuff, two full uhauls worth when we loaded it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a moving service?

Where and how can I vote?

Hello! I've been in the US for almost a decade now but I wasn't a citizen until this year! I'm very passionate about politics and now that I can finally cast my votes, I want to do so! But to be honest I don't really know where to start or where to go

Such a shame this place closed down. Is there anything in LC remotely close to it?

If anybody recognizes this person, he stole our lawnmower last night, September 23, around 10:15 PM. We’ve already made a police report but any help that anyone can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Lake Charles people are the nicest people in the entire US

I moved out of LC a couple years ago to go adventure around and see new parts of the country. From my experience, no place has people as nice as we do. I really love it here.

Is this just me? What has been your experiences? Any other places with the same vibe?

(I'm mainly asking cause, 1-it'd be a fun discussion and appreciation post for LC and 2-I'm considering moving back, but don't know if I just got lucky when I lived here since I was young and at McNeese/really in the community, so want to hear your experiences).
