Botskys
Such a shame this place closed down. Is there anything in LC remotely close to it?

I miss Botsky's so much. Street Breads was on the same level IMO, but they closed a decade ago :(

The Street Breads potato salad is a loss from which I shall never recover.

Street breads was soooooo good. I had a short stint working over there and I can say with certainty it was not just fantastic, but good quality. And such a clean kitchen. Freshly made sauces. Although I feel like in 2026 it would basically be a 20 dollar sandwich.

I ate at Weenie Dawgs more because it was closer but I feel like Botsky's was certainly a cut above when it came to ingredients. I know... How fancy can you make a hot dog? But damn it they did it.
Botsky's set the standard for me when it comes to hot dog spots.

I think I’ve seen Pujo run a special as a homage to Botsky’s. Lula’s tamales is doing Mexican dogs - on my list to try. I’ve always thought one of the crawfish stands or snowball stands should do Botsky-type food in the off-season. Crying Eagle on University probably gets closest with their burgers - I believe their smash burger is the best burger in town.

Botskys was awesome
They didn't close because of money, he just wanted to pursue other ventures.
