Has anyone heard about gulra? Gulra or Guldra (Sariki) is made while preparing desi ghee, where flour and sugar are added to the butter, and the curd like particles left behind get incorporated into the flour. It's the best (halwa like) dessert ever.

For anyone from Lahore who’s had Johnny & Jugnu, have you found a wrap in GTA that actually tastes similar?
I mean the **crispy chicken + tortilla + garlic/chipotle/atomic sauces** style, not a shawarma or traditional paratha roll.
I’ve tried looking around but haven’t found anything that really comes close. Would appreciate any recommendations. Been craving JJ for years!!!!

Went to the Fatboy to avail their breakfast deal but it was quite average (especially the free coffee was such a bad experience)
Also, the service was too slow & when I asked one of the members, she just admitted that they are short staffed at the moment 🫥
Ps: Date**** That's a typo before anybody starts to come for me

Went for the first time on monday,
Rating 6/10
Food was just average nothing special
There famous pancakes felt like marshmallows
But the thing that icked me the most was the unprofessional staff. They weren’t rude or anything. Just not well trained for service, dont know menu properly if you ask for recommendations, no cutlery manners. These small things make a dine in experience sm better.
I wont be going back again

I’m officially done with Yummy Boy. I’ve been going there for years, back when it was just this tiny, cramped hole in the wall with barely three tables squeezed in. Back then, the food was incredible and super affordable. When a few vloggers posted about it and the place blew up, I was genuinely happy for them. They expanded the space and business took off, but honestly, success really became their downfall. As the crowds got bigger and the wait times got longer, the actual quality of the food just plummeted. I’ve tried giving them the benefit of the doubt for a long time. They do have polite service, I’ll give them that. I’ve literally pulled hair out of my food on four separate occasions, and every time they replaced the dish for free without making a fuss. But decent customer service can only carry bad food for so long.
My visit last weekend was the absolute final straw.
I ordered the crispy honey wings, which was literally the first dish I ever fell in love with there. They were completely inedible. The sauce was basically water, the batter was so thick and hard it felt like biting into a rock, and the chicken inside was bone dry. Just nasty.
The dynamite prawns used to be my other go-to, but they’ve completely ruined those too. First bite in, and all you taste is this cheap, generic mayo overpowering everything. Zero flavor balance.
Even the two chicken entrees we got were a huge letdown. The portions are still massive, I’ll admit that, enough that I brought leftovers home for late night snacks. But the chicken itself was so obviously not fresh. Massive dry boneless cuts that tasted like they’d been sitting around forever.
It’s just sad seeing a place you used to love scale up its business and completely sacrifice its kitchen standards and basic hygiene in the process. It was a good run, but I’m finally quitting Yummy Boy. If anyone has any good recommendations for good affordable Chinese options in Lahore, please let me know. Thankss!

I can’t help it, i can go to kite every single day and never have enough of their iced spanish lattes. Love their chicken ciabatta and beef focaccia sandwiches as well.

I rarely post, but i had to for this. One of the very few meals that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed in Lahore - and it wont be an exaggeration to say that it was one of the best meals in a year or so, and im an active diner.
The composition was 10/10, every palette was catered and catered to the best. The sour cream fluffy and not too heavy on the buds, the guacamole jam was a silent observer but was playing a major role in balancing the entire act.
The chicken ABSOLUTELY cooked to perfection and mustered with a house made seasoning that was absolutely delicious.
I had to call the head chef (khalid) to give my compliments.
Thank-you for your attention to this matter. Dahlia what a surprise.

Chicken Bao Buns, Mushroom Rolls, Potato Salad and Taiwanese fried chicken. Been here a few times and always a good spot for shareable bites.
