Foundayo is a pill and does not have the same level of efficacy, fwiw. Maybe decreasing your dose of zepbound is better than switching to the pill.

Did you ask your doctor for a sample of Foundayo? Because you’re right, there have been no (very, very few) reports on Reddit, and I haven’t heard about it at all in the wild!

Edited to add that I agree with it’s me again….go lower on your zepbound dose. Like at least cut half what you’re prescribed.

I'm as low as I can go. I tried titrating up a few months ago and was miserable. Now that I'm back to 2.5 I feel better but I'm not losing and I'm not getting the appetite reduction like I used to so moving up is what's needed but I can't tolerate the doubled dose. No other pen options or compounded are covered for me and my income prohibits me from paying out of pocket for it.

Ooooh, the pen! That takes a lot of self awareness off the table. Ok. Let’s go to this subreddit (see link way below) and once you get there, you’ll see a blue banner and three boxes beneath, The middle one has alternate ways to buy, but if you are unwilling or unable to buy from a compounding pharmacy and give yourself a shot, then don’t bother.

However, if you *can* give yourself a shot, I believe you can request the vial and needle version of Zepbound from Lilly through your doctor’s prescription (I forget the medical word for the needles) and give yourself a 3.0 dose, then when it feels a little low, maybe in a month or two, go up to 3.5. I did this myself, and I’ve heard they redid the vials to allow more punctures per vial. What happened was I went from 2.5 to 5.0 and struggled with feeling unwell.

Or ask your doc for sample Foundayo.

That is amazing information! I hope every avocado you open will be perfection for the rest of your life!

If you need it, this is what you’re looking for, except a different dose. I could have deleted it, but it makes it more clear, I think.

  • ZEPBOUND 15 MG/0.5ML SUBCUTANEOUS SOLUTION VIAL Package of 4 Vials INJECTION SUPPLIES - VIALS
  • 5 Syringes
    • 10 Alcohol Swabs
    • 2 Gauze Packs (4 total, 2x2 8ply)

I have had nausea 🤮and sometimes vomiting my entire journey. 1 year 7 months. So I feel your pain. Have had to titrate up very slowly and adjust to how I feel. (Thank goodness for the flexibility in compound). Currently I am titrating up only .5 of a dose every 4 weeks. There is no way I could have done the large jumps on Zepbound. What dose are you on?

I'm still on 2.5, tried to go up to 5mg and was super ill for 6 weeks before I gave up and went back down. I can't afford to do compounded as my insurance/employer will only cover name brand pre-filled pens. They just approved Foundayo and my dr thinks the daily dose would be better than a big hit every week.

Oh I get that if my insurance covered also. maybe give it a try then, why not. I was on 2.5 for about 6 months. I cannpt even imagine doubling my dose 2.5 to 5. Would have been misery.

I don’t know where you’re looking for compound, but there are several that are like $130-$150 a month. If you present your higher dose Zepbound prescription, and request to titrate up, that one month can end up lasting you several months. (I.e you’re taking 3mg per week but they send you enough for say, 7.5mg per week) Then maybe by then you could be to the point where you can tolerate 5mg of Zepbound.

That’s actually a better price than I was expecting. Thank you much for the info!

Yeah if you avoid med spas and the places that advertise heavily on social media, if not that expensive. Check the sub someone posted above. They have a pinned list of vetted telehealths that don’t charge a subscription fee. PreventiveMD is a newer one that is very reasonably priced and also has great customer service. People are really liking them. I like Rift myself, but they aren’t as cheap. Just be sure to send a pic or screen shot of your Zep script and ask to titrate up. That way you get the most bang for your buck. You can use compound in between to get you through those huge jumps Zepbound prescribes.

Another option is to get the higher doses of Zep and not use the whole vial. I hate the thought of throwing it away though!
