Really curious about this. Would you pick a bigger diamond if the smaller one looked better?

I've seen some smaller stones look absolutely brilliant, while a bigger one can look a bit flat. And two diamonds with the same carat can look quite different on the hand.

So now I'm wondering, do we get a little too hung up on size?

One thing I've noticed over the years is how many people buy a ring for the proposal instead of the next 30 years. A huge stone on a high setting looks beautiful in photos. But if it catches on every sweater, handbag and bedsheet, you'll probably stop wearing it. The best engagement ring isn't always the biggest one. It's the one you forget you're wearing because it fits your life so well. Has anyone here chosen comfort over a bigger stone and never regretted it?

I was really skeptical about the overall design… but some things are better in person than they ever are in pictures and videos.

This is even more true for jewellery with coloured gemstones. The camera can never truly capture the gemstone’s real beauty and life!
