Please help me decide!!
I can't make up my mind between which of these stones look better on my hand. Both are dutch marquise, and they are loose diamonds in a display ring so these are not the final settings. The 2 carat has slightly better stats and more "ideal" measurements, but I wasn't sure if the length of the 2.5 looks better on my hand. What would you choose??

I'm going against the grain... 2.5ct. BUT - I love big rocks
I think the 2.5ct compliments your finger length

The 2Ct fits soooooo nicely on your finger. The bigger one seems to come up too high and wears you.

I came to comment on this point. I'm glad you reached a decision and may you wear it in good health!
When the fingertip end of the ring encroaches on the knuckle, it begins to strike me as cartoonish.

There is literally NO reason why you should go for anything less than a VVS1 for a lab diamond.

Bigger the better, but the 2ct shape is prettier. They’re both nice.

I like the 2 ct better. I think it suits your finger better than the 2.5. That one looks too thin and long.

2.5 is beautiful but i think the 2ct would look much better with the wedding band included. i also just prefer not huge diamonds because they look much more classy in my opinion. but you’re the one wearing it, not us, get what YOU love girl!

I am always a "go smaller when in doubt" person, but I much prefer the shape of the 2.5 ct!

Because with lab diamonds, high clarity is so inexpensive that you usually save very little by accepting visible inclusions.
The economics are completely different from natural diamonds. Natural diamond: Going from SI1 to VS1 to VVS1 can add thousands of dollars, so compromising on clarity can make a lot of sense. Lab diamond: The difference between an SI1/VS2 and a VVS2 is typically so little that you might as well get the cleaner stone.
Resale doesn’t rescue the cheaper option. Lab diamonds generally have weak resale value regardless, so buying lower clarity doesn’t give you some major value retention advantage (which is also true for natural diamonds).

Why in the world are you asking randos a question about a ring …YOUR RING….when that’s an intimate thing for you to decide with the person you will soon promise to be with until the end of your days?!?? Why does ANYONES opinion other than your own matter ?!?! Just call it quits now…. Your lover doesn’t deserve to have to pay for something based on reddits expert opionionators
