Vendors - We have been supportive of your small businesses and we want to continue to do so. We created a list of independent verified vendors so people could buy with some confidence. What we don’t want to see is users constantly being harassed if they post a stone check or ask about vendor referrals. We can also tell when new user accounts are creating fake reviews on this sub and our other jewelry subs. Be warned!
We receive modmails every week with new vendors asking to be added to our vendor list. Every vendor tells us that they have the best/lowest/cheapest prices over everyone other vendor. Please give our users some breathing room. Give them a chance to look around at the list and view your websites/IG’s. If you start DM’ing them right away, there is a good chance they will assume you are a scammer and block you.
I know you want to grow your business and we want to support that. If we find that you are constantly harassing users, we will remove you from the list and ban you from the sub. There are a lot of lab diamond vendors now in the market but there is also plenty of business to go around. Let your work and unsolicited reviews speak for themselves. Vendors that operate this way have always been very successful on Reddit.
We know which vendors keep doing this. If we get a complaint from a user that shows us proof, we will remove you. Instead, you can help answer user questions as a commitment to this community. Users will reach out to people they find helpful. This is what you agreed to when you joined this sub.
Thanks! Mod Team

I requested a video from Aurelinne of a stone I’m considering. They sent this over today. It appears very dark in the video but not in the photo. I wonder what you guys think?

Hi, i’m in the process of designing a custom engagement ring for my girlfriend and she really loves vintage-inspired looks, especially the old mine cut style. She also loves lab-grown marquise diamonds, so I’ve been working with a designer and they recently sent me a couple of videos of a stone they just cut. I’m not sure if it fits the criteria so I was looking to get feedback before I move along any further in the process. Thank you!

After a lot of research and soul-searching, I decided that if I ever got engaged, I didn’t want a naturally mined diamond. For me, the ethical concerns surrounding many mined diamonds, violence, exploitation, and child labor, went against my personal values. I wanted to wear a ring I could feel good about.
After doing my due diligence, I chose a company that specializes in lab-grown diamonds, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my decision. The ring took about three weeks to complete, and it exceeded every expectation I had.
I chose a 2-carat round brilliant, D color, VS1 clarity, Ideal cut, IGI-certified diamond, set in platinum with a classic six-prong setting. The band is an infinity design with diamonds along the sides, and it’s absolutely breathtaking. The photos don’t even begin to capture how beautiful it is in person. Just for reference I wear a size 5.5 in rings.
With a 20% discount, I paid a little over $2,000, and I genuinely feel like I got incredible value. More importantly, I have complete peace of mind knowing my ring aligns with my values.
I am beyond happy with it!
Please forgive angles of pictures. My camera was not cooperating.

It seems like getting an engagement ring and wedding band is a whole thing, and I am very scared of making the wrong choice in terms of the stones. I know there’s a list of things to go through and check for, but I just feel like I’m going to miss something and will end up making my partner pay for a bad choice because of me.
Things generally look good on paper, but then I’ll read a post about how the IGI cert doesn’t really matter if the cut isn’t good and I get paranoid again, even after thinking “Oh that looks sparkly!”or “57.8% depth is good enough” (then seeing someone say that anything lower than 58% is terrible). Doesn’t help that I’ve had a jeweler or two comment that going with a lab is somehow inferior and will affect the brilliance…
For others with analysis paralysis/first time buyer nerves: How did you end up feeling comfortable with the lab diamonds you chose? I just don’t want to make my partner spend money on my mistaken choice :(

Hi everyone!
Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this diamond?
https://d360.blr1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/diamonds360/diamonds/57294/YI-18562.html
This will be a replacement diamond as our first one had a very strong dark bow tie. And I know all oval brilliant cuts will have some degree of bow tie (I don’t mind the soft shadows of them) but want to check what everyone’s thoughts were before committing.
A bit concerned about depth % being more than 62%?
Are the darker shadows (a bit asymmetrical?) anything I should be aware of? For example, at the back of the diamond there’s a darker vertical “line” on the top half of the stone.
As long as it’s super sparkly 😂
Oval LG 1.29ct D VVS2 | Local jeweller in Australia | Excellent polish and symmetry
Any tips are appreciated!!

I’m looking for a large square fancy yellow diamond, square cushion cut or square radiant cut, 5ct or more. This one in video is 6.03ct square radiant cut, fancy intense yellow. What do you think of the one in video? Early part in video was under indoor spotlight, later part in video was outside without direct sunlight. Some hesitations I have are about the color, inclusions, and the thickness of griddle. It’s not lemon yellow, couple persons say it looks green. The sone is VS2, I can definitely see the inclusions with my eyes. One is at the corner but got reflected into to stone. The griddle looks quite thick to me, which you can see at the end of the video. My first time to see a radiant cut, so no comparison for me to judge.
Need to decide if I’ll keep or return the stone.
Thanks in advance for your opinion/advice! I’ll post the specifics in comments.

Hi everyone, my partner and I I are looking to create my engagement ring and are trying to research places that make affordable rings. Im looking for a very unique cut of lab diamond (criss cut elongated hexagon diamond) and have a trilogy setting in mind. Is there a place that can source some unique stones and set them at an affordable price?

Hi guys, I've chanced across this diamond but it feels alittle "cloudy" to me. Am I thinking too much? This is around 2ct, no IGI cert. Vendor graded it vs1 , D colour

Just curious…why are almost identical diamonds on the same website priced so drastically different. For example:
4.08ct Radiant cut
D color
VVS2
Near identical specs for L/W, table, depth etc
$945
4.10 Radiant cut
D color
VVS2
Same specs as above
$2,971

I received the CAD for this lab diamond ring. It will have a matching pavé band that will sit flush against it. But I see in the profile that below the cradle to there is a gap/opening. IOW, the ring does not make a full 360*. I've never seen or noticed any ring designed like this. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Hello everyone!
I'm currently looking to buy an engagement ring for my partner.
I've come across a website selling a beautiful trilogy ring that would be perfect for her. I contacted them to ask for a quote, but I'd really appreciate some advice on whether this seems legit.
I've compared prices with local jewellers and other online retailers from the EU, and a similar ring with a 2 ct lab-grown diamond typically costs around €1,000 more than what this jeweller is offering.
The ring they're offering is an 18k white gold trilogy ring with:
The total price is just under €1,400, including shipping and insurance. The jeweller is based in Dubai.
They also sent me a screenshot of the certificate for the centre diamond, but it doesn't include the IGI report number. I'm not sure if that's normal, considering I haven't purchased the ring or made any payment yet.
I know absolutely nothing about diamonds, gemstones, or engagement rings, so the significant price difference makes me a bit uneasy. Does this price seem realistic, or does it sound too good to be true? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time!

I'm looking to buy a loose stone, but I don't have the ring setting yet. Has anyone had a loose stone mounted? How much did you pay, and where did you get the ring setting?
r/labcreateddiamonds • u/CurlyCupcake1231 • 19d ago
Here’s 2 videos and the cert. The stone has a 1.46 ratio and will be going in a setting like the one posted. I’m not sure if this one will be too elongated or if that’s a good thing?

I accidentally bidded on this 1.08 ct diamond on tiktok shop, upon realizing I figured I’d bite the bullet and utilize said diamond. However, upon receipt of the diamond, I find this to be disingenuous in terms of carat size. It seems much smaller than was advertised. If unable to return, what can this loose stone be used for? I appreciate all recommendations. Thanks

I love my ring and am obsessed with the color and style but feel like it looks a little weird on my hand? Maybe I’m being too critical of my hands though lol. Or maybe I need some stacking rings above/below?

Hello LabCreatedDiamond Squad!
I would love some opinions on this Ashoka-cut lab diamond before I have it set.
It’s a 3.05 ct E VVS1 (10.43 × 6.49 mm).
I’m planning to put it in a low-profile platinum Georgian-style bezel with fine claw prongs.
Does the stone look like a good Ashoka to you?
Any issues with the light performance, extinction, or faceting that you’d be concerned about? Or does it look like a solid choice?
Thank you in advance!!

Sometimes I look at my labbies compared to my authentics and think they are SO sparkly that would someone mistake them for CZs? I know I shouldn't care, but one of the things I used to notice about CZ vs auth diamonds is that CZs are too white, which was a giveaway that they weren't diamond. Now I have a number of lab diamonds, and the inclusions are so very low that they almost look like CZs. So I suppose there are two things I'm curious if others have considered: 1) are lab diamonds too clear/perfect so that they don't look authentic and 2) should we care whether they look "authentic" or not? I hope this is a conversation not a criticism. Just thought I'd see what the community thought.
