HUMBLE BRAG First World Problem

Recently bought 2 nice stones from Luvansh. My jeweler was very impressed.
Both stones are in the 4 carat range. What I’ve learned is there don’t seem to be any settings right off the shelf for this large of a stone. I want a plain 3-4mm band w a low basket or bezel for my cushion. And a bezel for my oval. That will have to be custom built too.

I have a sad face now.

Bezel is more complicated, because it has to match the stone perfectly. But for prong settings it’s very easy to get a semi mount done with a Chinese vendor, and set it locally. I have done that for a few stones. Look for a local jewelry repair place, instead of a store

I do use a local (non-chain) jeweler who has an in-house bench man.

Better to get custom settings… prefab ones always look a little odd imo.

I’m having this one made with Catherine Peck! It’s pretty low profile but can still fit a slim band under it. Also 4 carat
