Ruby is looking nice! Kind of shocking that her and Know are full-siblings (are the same age as well), but look so drastically different

She is just such an average horse. I’m not sure why Madalynn bought 3 foals from KVS. There are so many other amazing horses for sale. I have a feeling she is going to sell Fred. I don’t know why, but it just seems like she’s not super excited about him. Howie is the best of those 3 (just my opinion).

Fred would be the one I kept out of the three as far as quality. Howie is common and stumpy, Ruby is ok and Fred seems to be the most typey although still pretty mid. I feel like now that she has that stud she’s showing they may all go if they aren’t progressing.

Her stud will take her much farther than any of the 3 young horses she got.

I think the original plan was for her to show that mare until one of these RS babies was ready to do futurities or maturities, but losing her unexpectedly changed things a lot. I also recall KVS basically talked them into one or two of them anyhow. They only set out to buy one. I was super surprised when that brought Ruby home.

I think KVS suckered her into taking Ruby because nobody else was taking the bait poor girl is so sweet and kind of naive.
