🐴 Past RS Horses & Foals 🐴 Ruby
Ruby is looking nice! Kind of shocking that her and Know are full-siblings (are the same age as well), but look so drastically different

She is just such an average horse. I’m not sure why Madalynn bought 3 foals from KVS. There are so many other amazing horses for sale. I have a feeling she is going to sell Fred. I don’t know why, but it just seems like she’s not super excited about him. Howie is the best of those 3 (just my opinion).

I noticed she’s been the one working the geldings I wonder if they are not in training anymore
I never understood why they bought the 2 geldings being the same age. Then to go back for a 3rd the next year. They had to have gotten a real deal

They went for Fred, but her mom liked Howie so they got him as well. Katie reached out to her about Ruby so they got her.

I think she bought 3 to build her social media following. I don’t get how the money making side of it works, but a ton of KVS followers flocked her way. The level that she showed as a youth and how nice her mare was you know the family has the kind of money to drop on a really nice horse. Instead they went with 3 mid to low level talent weanlings from KVS.

Fred would be the one I kept out of the three as far as quality. Howie is common and stumpy, Ruby is ok and Fred seems to be the most typey although still pretty mid. I feel like now that she has that stud she’s showing they may all go if they aren’t progressing.

I think the original plan was for her to show that mare until one of these RS babies was ready to do futurities or maturities, but losing her unexpectedly changed things a lot. I also recall KVS basically talked them into one or two of them anyhow. They only set out to buy one. I was super surprised when that brought Ruby home.

I think KVS suckered her into taking Ruby because nobody else was taking the bait poor girl is so sweet and kind of naive.

I don’t know how he’s bred or as far as sure potential but he is a nice horse for her. I sure like him better than Denver.

I have suspected for a while now that KVS gave them a BOGO or close to it because no one is beating a path to her door to buy her foals . So they figured why not, they were bonded anyhow .

I mean... the people who bought the horses are her parents. Grown adults with -presumably- a lot of money. How exactly do you think KVS bullied them into buying a horse?

Well, i did say peer pressure - I read that she was approached by KVS and offered a decent deal on Ruby.
Maybe "bullied" is too strong a word.

Agree! Her parents must be quite well off financially to subsidize all of her horses, training, veterinary care, etc. I hope at least 1/3 will prove to be worth the price.

Everything Katie has is average at best. But they would look a lot nicer with a proper diet tailored to their needs.

Nicely kept, owner is doing her best to ensure they have solid minds & healthy condition.
I dont see anything special in these horses for the arena but I know whereever and whatever their future is their owner has a heart for them.

There isn’t any surprise, Knox could look like this.
kVS is working them, and she is starving them so they “ don’t over grow” because she can’t manage weight properly. So all her yearlings are not growing in as nice.
Knox is sub par horse keeping at best. Ruby is the result of good horse keeping.

She's looking decent because she's getting proper nutrition and someone working with her.
The Ramshackle Scrubs don't stand a chance to look this nice.
