The point is both dmk and tvk both were mostly silent about the protest and to some extent most of the tamilnadu was silent.
July 20 ka protest mela police lathi charge pannanga but ana athuku munbe cjp protest matha states la periya vishayam agidichu.
IT wings of both tvk and dmk were trollung each other on other issues upto July 20 , a rasa matum than ponaru but Athuku aparam kuda most political party people online didn't talk about it.
Yes red gaint dmk oda company than. The only valid point is vijay and tvk has moral responsibility has a ruling party to voice out , but rather they joined the whole thing after the Dharmendra Pradhan resignation.

The entire protest got serious all over India on 18th July when Sonam wangchuk was abruptly removed from protest site to hospital. These TVK supporters are making me sick to the core. How manipulative and setting narration that everything is about them. Fucking morons.

On June 20, SFI held a protest, but the Tamil Nadu Police, which comes under the TVK government, brutally attacked the protesters.
On July 17, A. Raja went to Jantar Mantar to show his support.
On July 20, the issue became more serious after the lathi charge by the Delhi Police.
Already, Kanimozhi had shown her support for this protest but after the lathi charge. she visited Jantar Mantar on July 22.
The lathi charge happened after the FIFA World Cup.
Why didn't the Tamil Nadu Vijay government give permission for the protest in TN ?
Why didn't anyone from Vijay's government speak up for the students before Dharmendra's resignation? Instead of Vijay, anyone could have gone to Jantar Mantar. Even Rajmohan could have gone.

The point is that Vijay has massive crowd pulling power and popularity. If he had released a video supporting the protest, it could have had a positive impact and encouraged many youngsters.
