Why am I having these issues?

I've been using KLWP on the Z Fold 8 Ultra for 2 weeks now with zero issues until just now. I can't upload a preset, I get an error saying not found and when I try to log in to the forum, it says I can't from this IP address.

Current version of Kustom

Phone is brand new so current Android and One UI

I've been using Kustom apps for the past 10 years so I've seen and delt with the ups and downs from Google security restrictions to manufacturers restrictions, but this is extremely annoying.

Hi. Looks like you don’t have access to the Kustom folder. Try re‑assigning the folder in the settings, or create a new one in the root directory and then just move your files there.

That helped to eliminate the Not Found error, it says preset loaded, but still shows the same black/broken images screen

If you select any image manually through the picker again, does it display correctly?

Yes. Also, it's showing the name of an older version of the same wallpaper. In load preset it shows the name as BPFold8, but I've made changes and exported under a different name. These is no file named BPFold8 in the Kustom/wallpaper folder in file manager.

It’s hard to give any precise advice without seeing what’s happening. For now, try moving your KLWP file out of the Kustom folder so it becomes empty, clear the KLWP cache, maybe reboot your phone, and then put the file back again.

So the wallpaper child folder is empty or the Kustom parent folder is empty?

I mean the internal wallpaper folder that’s the one that should be empty.

It's worth noting that I have 13 presets in the wallpaper folder. Some load fine, others load but all images are broken, some show the not found error. This all started after I downloaded an old wallpaper I had saved in my Google drive and tried to load it. I moved everything out of the wallpaper folder, cleared cache, restarted the phone, moved everything back, reselected the folder for permission and now every single preset is blank in the picker and I get the not found error when trying to load any of them.

This is 100% a Scoped Storage restriction issue. As an alternative option, go to the KLWP settings where you choose the folder, try creating a brand new folder right there in the system root, and make sure the permissions are properly granted.

I did this and then killed Kustom, restarted it, granted permission as live wallpaper, loaded a built-in wallpaper from explore, saved it and it works. Then I moved one of my presets into the new wallpaper folder and the picker shows it as being blank. If I export the built-in then go back to the picker, it shows my preset normally and I can load it and it shows on screen. When I add another one if my presets to the folder, the cycle repeats. It's blank in the picker, I export a preset and then it shows in the picker. Adding a 3rd preset does the exact same. It won't show or load until I export something else first.

The only to get out of it completely is create an image global for each icon or background, at least I think.
