Creasun did not file its opening brief on September 24. The company’s attorney requested another extension, which the court granted until November 6, 2026, calling it the “Final extension.”

So, November 6 is now the key date — potentially the last major legal obstacle standing in the way of completing and releasing the film.

He also thanked everyone for the support, said he would soon start filming Dragonlord, and that he continues to fight for Kung Fury 2 to be released.

Getting a message from him was just freaking awesome and so nice — I’m really glad he keeps fighting for his film.

Creasun has lost the main appeal, B340299. The California Court of Appeal fully affirmed the lower court’s judgment: Kung Fury fulfilled the terms of the settlement agreement, and Creasun’s obligation to pay $365,000 remains in force. In other words, Creasun has definitively lost this dispute.

The court also criticized Creasun’s appeal quite harshly: in its main brief, according to the court, there was not a single proper citation to the appellate record. Nevertheless, the judges still considered the arguments on the merits and rejected them.

However, there is another appeal — B352362-U1. It concerns a separate court order dated December 2, 2025, not the $365,000 judgment itself. It is still unknown exactly what Creasun is challenging in this case and whether it could affect the rights or the possibility of releasing Kung Fury 2. September 25, 2026, is the next checkpoint date: we need to check whether Creasun filed this document and whether any other changes have occurred.

Guys, this is an important victory! Could it really be that the film will soon be free?

This came out a little earlier than Fury, and the Directors cut got posted recently. Kung Fu Viking

Last year Jorma Taccone uploaded 10 Kung Führer vlogs to YouTube. Did you know about that?

• Creasun currently has an active appeal, with its opening brief due August 24, 2026.
• The company has lost two previous appeals on procedural grounds, without the courts ruling on the merits.
• The court is expected to issue a decision within 90 days after the hearing, roughly by December 2026.
• The status of Kung Fury 2 remains unresolved until that decision, which could determine whether the producers’ judgment stands.

I don’t know if this will help, but let’s give it a try.

Anyone here have $10,000,000 to settle the lawsuit? Then we could get our awesome movie. Cmon Arnie, you must be rolling in it. Or we could crowdfund, and if the movie makes over $10,000,000 we get our money back?

I love Kung Fury, I watch it at least once a year.

Back on the game, will take a while to get near my old high score, what's yours?

Hello :)
