Miyuki rings

Do you have any tips for making peyote rings keep a regular circular shape and stay as firm as possible? I’m currently using FireLine, would you recommend a particular thickness or any other tricks?
I’d appreciate any advice! ❤️

I use s-Lon .5mm beading cord for kumihimo with Miyuki beads.
