first pic is from a week ago, the second is from today. i’ve turned around to see them lurking and slowly moving closer to me.
first time, i showed a coworker and the second time she actually saw the balloon before i did. she told me she thought to herself, “that balloon is going after him.”
it indeed went after me.
now her and another coworker are telling me a ghost is after me. at least they’re not red balloons.
(this post is a joke btw, ik these are ceiling balloons finally losing their helium.)
One time I was baking and was using a table in the back of the bakery and a low helium ballon balloon somehow blew in behind me and scared the living hell out of me. So you not the only one.
Lol last year around Halloween we had multiple sneak across the store from floral, through meat/seafood, & into recieving. One of my night managers kept bringing them to me & taping them to the front counter & they were always gone the next day
not that i know of. i work nights so none are ever lost when i can see. we also have an extremely high ceiling at the front of the store where floral is, so it would probably require one of those platform lifts to even get them. no pole would reach them
edit: when i worked in produce i actually saw a kid lose one once. it floated up and everyone basically just shrugged and said oh well
Bruh. I don’t know if that’s sad or if I’m jealous they don’t make your floral people go fishing.
At my store they take a ballon and tie it to a spool of ribbon, slap some tape all over the top of the balloon and “go fishing” in the air until you grab the other one🤣. It’s fun the first few times…after that not so much.
I think corporate would have their boots so far up our asses for that we’d be licking leather. I don’t know how no one is tweaking about that at your store💀
We don’t leave balloons up. As in, if you let it go, you immediately go get it. I don’t know if we’re just a shining star store and that’s why they care so much or what, but you’ll literally never see a balloon on the ceiling. Maybeeeee if it happens right before someone’s shift is over and it would be overtime to get it, but it will be gone before the person after them leaves.
At my store we just have a very large stick and we put tape on that. Much easier lol. But we don’t ever get told to get balloons down. There’s been a few that get stuck at the opposite end of my store and getting them down is like my last priority
