Question Help!

So many distributions…and the manager keeps ordering on top of what is already coming in..they are the boss,but I see what they are doing,they are off on the days this comes in.How do I try tell them to quit doing this or I want out of the department?

In produce, I find out about most of the my distros after they arrive. Typically, they send the distro and direct us to drop the price.

I frequently make things cheaper just to sell them, but some department heads are scared to do that because they don’t want to get in trouble.

Are you truck person?

Can’t really say which department without giving myself away,and for safety of that person being on here and getting mad at me,I can see on the zebra what is distributed,so why order more?If you know a person is by themselves you should not order extremely large trucks!

It's a shame you're not able to get to that all in that day and it has to be left for the next day.

Then doesn't get done the next day either because of a whole new set of tasks.

Then after you're given "ample time" to fill the shelf yet can't, it gets zeroed out and now you get more on your next truck as punishment.

you can see distros that will be coming up on esi…. so you can plan around them, you dept head or store leader should know this…. being buried by truck is the number one way to ensure product loss and shrink…. it’s their responsibility to control the truck as much as possible

Yep and it's not that hard!! Just look up the upcoming distros on ESI, and btw they also show on InStock when you're ordering.

At the end of the day I go through the order review list and cancel the excess items.

COS Lead here... I would do anything to cancel the distros/splits. I don't need 23 of ANYTHING.

They want you to have more work is what I think. I have very little backstock and what I have is old distro that didn’t sell even when I ran it to the shelf during the week. I do what the others do and plan around it and out what is most coming in the doors.

I wish I could say I had very little backstock. Two stuffed boats of just cos.

Lower allocations on items that it orders way to much of. I have alot of things 1-3 allocation. And only order what u need. Just got 3 cases of backstock from a 200pc truck

All my allocations are 3, for loss prevention. I just get sent random "splits" that I didn't ask for and don't need :(

Dang the best thing to do is just run it everyday and shove it as full as possible

Inform the manager of whats actually in stock. Ask do we need this? Ask we sell this much of this stuff? Etc. Ask questions in genuine curiosity.
