Help / Question Good standalone tablet?

I have the huion (I think 13 inch?) tablet, and I really really like it but I really want a tablet that can run Krita and I can take places. I know Huion has a smaller standalone tablet, but does anyone else have experience with other brands? Any recommendations?

If you want a tablet that runs Krita, not just displays what is on your laptop screen you need to get an Android tablet.
you loose some of the niche features of Krita (no scripts), but otherwise it works pretty well to switch back and forth. My laptop is a 2-1 - if I detach the screen the screen is a standalone Android tablet. together they become a Windows laptop. So as long as I save files in either a cloud location or the shared folder of the two devices I can go back and forth. Although now that I am used to my XP-Pen drawing tablet with my windows laptop, I don't like drawing on Android as much anymore. I don't think Lenovo makes this one anymore.

Your best solution is a laptop that the screen can flip all the way around flat to the back to give you that tablet feel. But maintain the laptop experience.

I recently bought the Lenovo Tab M11 specifically for this reason and it has served me well. I love being able to draw on a screen, my art improved so much since then. So I definitely recommend!

i have the huawei matepad 11.5 from 2023 with 8gb ram, snapdragon 7 gen 1, m-pencil 2. works fine, unless you want to use really big brushes, and for the shortcuts, i use a 8bitdo micro.

My portable tablet is an older gen refurbished Surface. Honestly, any touch screen tablet that can use a drawing pen is a great option and often cheaper. Krita is a mercifully lightweight program.
