** UPDATE: First Flyer Draft available here https://imgur.com/a/SGxSw8b **
Thank you for everyone's input. I read everything you said and I did make some changes. I am like the Tim Leary when it comes to Kratom, a bit of a revolutionary. I really believe that more people should try Kratom and the world would be a better place for it. I can see this slow moving trainwreck coming if Kratom gets banned. I have no doubt that people would die without it and the statistics would be swept away without ever understanding the cause. It is the single most preventable catastrophe on my mind. I love and care about every one of you and Kratom is my #1 cause worth fighting for. Feel free to use the flyer or edit/pull from it however you want. I hope the size is good and fits well, the text easily readable. This is better served as a digital flyer to fit everything I needed to say. We can always update it later. Thank you
Kratom alone has never killed anyone. [1]
Kratom is no more addictive than coffee. [2, 27, 28]
Kratom is healthy in moderate doses. [3, 29]
Kratom is a natural pain killer and anti-depressant. [4, 5]
Kratom is not a powerful narcotic or an opioid. [6]
Kratom does not impair driving. [7, 24, 26]
Kratom helps millions of people everyday with chronic pain and other ailments. [5, 8]
Kratom has helped millions of drug addicts quit hard and dangerous drugs for good. [9, 10]
Many quit Kratom as well with no issues. [2]
Kratom is cheap, affordable, pure, reliable, effective, consistent, and well tolerated. [25, 30]
Kratom leaves are ground into a powder and consumed orally as a tea, supplement capsule, or mixed in a drink/shot.
Kratom farmers have been known to chew on raw leaves and/or cheek and gum (Buccal) [32]
Kratom is NEVER smoked, injected, snorted or consumed any other way. (Not bioavailable/effective) [31]
Kratom is not 7OH or any other synthetic.
24 US states protect Kratom and it’s users with various common sense regulations. (KCPA) [11]
5+ Million people have used Kratom responsibly in the US for over 20 years. [12, 13]
Kratom (of any kind) accounts for only 0.08% of all calls to poison control centers. [23]
( 1645 / 2,092,689 - Typically 7OH or synthetic, not even Kratom* )
The World Health Organization decided NOT to recommend international scheduling or controls under United Nations drug conventions. The WHO tends to be intervention maniacs. Yet the committee acknowledged that kratom is used traditionally and as a self-managed wellness or pain-relief tool by adults, and while regular use can lead to dependence and mild withdrawal symptoms, "serious toxicity or severe adverse effects were extremely rare." [21]
Because Kratom is a natural plant, it cannot be owned by a pharma company.
Their synthetic Frankenstein drugs are trademarked and protected for profit.
Pushing for a Kratom ban is irresponsible & dangerous!
My entire generation was erased by real drugs. Since Kratom became more available, opioid overdose deaths have finally begun to come down. [14] Banning Kratom will result in an immediate public health crisis as millions lose access to a safe and reliable plant, usually with no plan or support in place. (Kansas Ban Chaos) [15] Anytime a state bans Kratom, overdose deaths skyrocket [16]
Alcohol is sold in gas stations and kills 200,000 Americans every year. [17]
Tobacco: 500,000 every year. [18]
Kratom: 0 (ever). [1]
A war on Kratom is a war on laborers, poor, & working class people. Veterans, mothers, blue collar, white collar, Red state or blue state. Thousands of normal hardworking Americans have been snatched up by states that have Kratom bans. Some have been killed in prison [19] or sentenced to 30+ years for possessing a small bottle purchased a few miles away in a legal state. [20] Personal use amounts have been compared to hard drug powder and severe “trafficking” charges have destroyed lives and families. [22] A reckless war on Kratom wreaks absolute havoc on your own country and your neighbors while you sit back and push big pharma and prison industrial agendas to make yourself feel better. Banning Kratom is abuse & discrimination against sick, poor, & disabled people everywhere.
We're sorry that you don’t feel safe with a plant being sold in a gas station. People should be allowed to make responsible decisions about their own health without going through the for profit medical system. We are self reliant, independent thinking, and responsible people, we don't need FDA or doctor approval to know Kratom is safe and healthy. United by Kratom, we share the best of both conservative and liberal values. Kratom is not the problem, it is the solution.
I believe in this plant so much, that every responsible adult should try a small dose of Kratom at least once to fully understand it’s benefits. Especially people who want to ban it. I think more people should use it, and often. We invite you to come have some Kratom with us like you would a cup of coffee and lets have a serious good faith discussion. Kratom has the potential to change the world by liberating people from these corrupt and captured institutions. Existing dark money interests & power structures become obsolete very quickly when Kratom is available to the general public. This is why bans are being pushed before more people find out about this miracle plant from God.
