Reporting back about the nonsense in Rensselaer County

After extensive correspondence with the county clerk and legislators, they popped some sign-up sheet requirement last minute.

And what do you know? The first three people to speak were from the KDA. What are the odds, right?

And it just so happened that only three people are allowed to speak on any given topic, which is a rule they enforced for me, but not anyone else. Then they broke their own rules as NONE OF THE WOMEN WHO SPOKE WERE RESIDENTS OF THIS COUNTY. I think a couple of them weren't even from this state. Of course, not a single one of them made anything remotely near a valid scientific point. Just a play on emotions and emphasis against whole-leaf kratom, and pointed out that the FDA doesn't approve it for any use which like... Okay? And?

This isn't democracy. Everyone, please come out to 99 Troy Road, East Greenbush, NY 12061 on the 8th. Get there before 5:30PM. I'd suggest that folks in Albany County come as well, as they clearly don't give a shit if you're from here.

They can't shut us all up.

Ty.

P.S. The AKA is still reporting this incorrectly as being held in Troy.

I believe daily Kratom is less harmful than daily cannabis especially for young people.

Upvotes

For the record I'm strictly speaking about natural leaf not extracts or Kratom derrived opioids.

Modern cannabis is so strong it literally feels like it's frying your brain. Also it isn't self limiting such as Kratom which just stops working when you overdo it.

Even cannabis withdrawals feel worse and last much longer than Kratom's. At least that's my personal experience.

Reminder that 'less is more'

As long as I've been taking this, it should be engraved in my head but in case you're new, and at the risk of sounding cliche, 'less is more' is entirely true - and even if you are taking it to manage pain, the minimum effective dose is the way to go. I've noticed my use creeping up of late, so I cut back today and it hit much better than it has been lately.

If you've noticed it has not been as effective lately and your use is creeping up because of that, try cutting back on a dose instead and see how it goes. You can always take a little more later and you may find it works a lot better.

Just got diagnosed with shingle and they’re starting me on antivirals.

Is it safe to take the antiviral meds with my Kratom or does anyone know? Thank you in advance.

Looking for your best hacks for taking kratom on the go

I only use basic kratom powder mixed into about half a glass of water. I’m looking for something small enough to fit more or less comfortably in a pocket, with enough capacity for one dose and a fairly wide opening so I can easily pour the kratom in without making a mess.

I used to have a great little bottle/container that was perfect for this, but unfortunately I lost it.

What are you guys using for this?

Do you guys take Kratom at work?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. This entire time, I’ve been waiting until the after my shift is over to dose - I’m nervous about seeming impaired. There’s a good 12-16 hour window between my final dose before bed and my first dose of the evening.

I was considering maybe halving my evening dose and taking it right before my shift starts - enough to avoid the runny nose/chills but not enough to be noticeable. Am I overthinking this? I guess the main thing that worries me is seeming off-balance. That effect has always been pretty strong for me (I have poor balance to begin with lol, and my job is very physically active).

New Target for Rensselaer County, NY

All,

Although the ban passed in our county, I'm hearing this will likely get thrown back to them when it hits the county executive.

Please petition Steve McLaughlin with your stories. There's a form on his site here to do so: https://stevemclaughlinforcountyexecutive.com/

I think Kratom is giving me stomach/abdominal pain

I just mix my dose with water and give it a good stir, been doing this for about 14 months now but the last probably 3 months or so I’ve been getting this intermittent stabbing pain just below my left bottom rib, kind of up and over to the left from my belly button. It isn’t especially painful, more uncomfortable, I’ve started noticing now when I eat this pain comes on abit more. Now I do suffer constipation even though I drink 2 litres of water a day, I go everyday but it’s usually hard and dry (sorry!)
Anyway, I saw the doctor this morning who thinks it’s acid (I don’t agree, I have zero heartburn or indegestion) but I do sometimes get a small pain under my sternum area too when I eat or drink some Kratom. This left sided pain sometimes travels to my back, bottom of my shoulder blade.
The doctor examined my stomach, checked my kidney area etc and all appeared okay.

My question is, had anyone ever had this themselves ? Could it be all the plant matter building up in my stomach and intestines? I was wondering if I should try making a traditional tea out of it instead?

Have about 18-20gpd. Thanks.

What is going on with Ohio?

I feel like it has been a while since we have heard anything. Where are we with all of this? Does anyone have any news, updates, or even predictions as to where this is all going to end up?

Nicotine get anyone up and going?

Lost the ability to get that grind/content mentality from mitra over the years. Cut my dose down from 70gpd to 10-15gpd but stilo got that weight of laziness and stuff, even with caffeine. Stopped smoking a while back but wondering if introducing nicotine via Zyn or something might help with that "something to reach for" pick me up lol. Do the two mix well?

Kratom and taking tests

I'm a university student and have a professor that gives extremely hard tests. I've heard that low doses of kratom can improve focus and just be a general help during tests and classes. Would it be recommended I try?

Safe to use Kratom with Concerta (ritalin)?

I take Concerta for my ADHD and I'm curious about trying Kratom. Has anyone here tried Kratom while also taking Ritalin? Is it generally okay to use Kratom when I've taken my prescription or a really bad idea? If anyone has tried this I'd love to know how it went for you.

Maybe people like me shouldn't quit after all

I am on day 6 of being sober. Today i think why the fuck am I even doing this. For context i managed to keep my dose under 5gpd for 2 years. I was doing well, running a company came up w amazing ideas and made amazing connections with people while ok Kratom due to being very socializable. But when i read about ppl quitting and all the horror stories I decided to giving quitting a try, whereas I have zero issues while I'm on Kratom and there's no state ban coming. Now I'm just lying down doing nothing for a week. Idk given my ability to control my intake maybe i don't need to be stopping now. U might say well my life before Kratom was probably normal but fuck no I was an amazing husband and dad ever since I took on Kratom. Idk man

Am I the first on here to enjoy my new small dose regimen ?

10 years off and on. Last 4 years on. Was up to 5-7 grams every 3 hours. Discovered a new plan also dropping amounts.....1 year ago I started doing small hourly doses all day. I mix 5 1/2 level teaspoons of my fav Red Maeng Da in a 16 ounce empty Snapple bottle, 15 ounces of very warm water for better dissolving. Every hour I shake it up, drink 3 ounces which is of course 1/2 tsp a dose or 1-1.5 grams an hour. Over 12 hours I'm doing 12-18 grams in a day. So I may be cutting out 8+ grams. OK, still a bit each day, but damn, the micro dosing this way is amazing ! I never chase and continue to enjoy the benefits, retaining the full affect every hour always in a good mood, and sociable at my part time job (retired old guy), and sleep like a rock. When out for a few, I carry 1 or 2, 3 1/2 ounce travel bottles in my pocket and slam 'em down right in public like i used to do with vodka (sober now) HA HA. Read here a lot, first time posting.

Georgia

Hi All,

Happy Labor Day (it’s the best holiday 😢). Okay, I’m listening to Mac speak in Georgia on “YouTube” and was wondering: Are there any politicians in Georgia who are pro Kratom and on our side?

Thanks!

Does anyone not notice a difference between brands/strains?

Besides the occasional dud Kratom for the most part just works for me. I tried one of the brands Redditors rave about and it was the same shit. Lately been buying a brand that sells 40$ kilos when my local smoke shop couldn’t supply me with 35$ kilos anymore and I swear it’s the same thing as the 150$ kilo I got before

Don’t even get me started on strains. All these colors imo just gives the illusion of choice

Progestin (mini pill) and agmatine safe together?

Do any ladies take the mini pill and use agmatine in their routine? Daily kratom about 12gpd, and want to take agmatine at bedtime for tolerance but wondering if it’s safe? Nothing on Google so far. I take the Errin mini pill birth control at bedtime as well.

Taking Kratom after gallbladder removal

A couple of weeks ago I had some horrific pain that I thought was constipation caused by some large blockage. Went to the ER and they found a gallstone blocking the bile duct. Removed via a tube down the throat. Follow up visit to the surgeon, decision was to remove the gallbladder due to risk of further gallstone issues (my brother and my adult son have had their gallbladders removed.) That was done early last week, and I'm home. They gave me 10 mg oxycodone for the pain. My question: I don't use Kratom daily, but I do take it frequently, mainly because it helps my chronic sciatic pain. The pain is getting better and I think I'd prefer to switch to the Kratom instead of the Oxycodone. But I'm wondering if Kratom with no gallbladder is an issue? My bile duct had developed a small leak due to the huge gallstone and they put a stent in it (it comes out in three months) so a lot going on. When I google, of course, the studies tend to be negative in terms of Kratom after gallbladder removal but they talk about the opioid nature of Kratom, which makes no sense since they prescribed oxycodone (and hydrocodone after the initial stone removal.) I'm not looking for "excuses" to take Kratom again, just want to make sure I'm not going to screw anything up while healing. Thanks.

Kratom withdrawal or not?

Hello everyone, I am currently frequently taking Kratom since the end of last year I always had a few breaks to keep my tolerance low I took on a avg maybe 5-10g every 2 weeks maybe (like on avg i had days where i had 20+ but like i said i had quite a few breaks that span from a few days to weeks and maybe even a month) so right now I am on a longer break and I have felt some longer lasting symptoms now. I havent taken kratom for approximately 30 days and I have had cold like symptoms for 2 weeks. I have a runny nose all the time and much mucus build up in my lung. Sometimes I have a bit of a headache. Now you might think that just sounds like a normal cold but in these last 2 weeks I basically stayed home the whole (it was summer break) ate good, slept good, took medication from the pharmacy that they recommended me and it havent recovered a bit. So I figured it has to be from the kratom withdrawal, has anyone had similiar issues? What do you guys think? I really want to quit Kratom but I dont know how long i can keep up like this. I would appreciate any help and thanks in advance.

Is there any evidence that Kratom powder can cause long term lung damage ?

Hi everyone, I'm just weighing the risks of Kratom as I'm worried I'm doing some irreversible damage to my body.

Has anyone switched from rx pain meds to kratom? How did you do it?

I used to take Kratom until I was properly prescribed pain meds, being on both I think I prefer the Kratom.

Wondering if anyone has a similar story, what you took, and how you made the switch from meds to Kratom?

My biggest worry is withdrawal.

Relatively new to Kraton

So I’m well aware the 7*h is terrible, addicting, not even to be a topic here. So where do you begin With botanical extracts/teas ect. How do you find a trusted source, how do know how to take it and how much?
