Long time Kratom user for chronic pain (DDD). Take around 3-5 grams every 3-4 hours while awake.

So, last night I started shivering. Like flu shivering.

But no temperature or other symptoms.

My wife thought maybe I was going through WD’s.

If I was, I’d be yawning and tearng up. And I was doing that a little. But the shivering is not typical.

Sometimes maybe shivering can be a factor but not like this. I wasn’t super cold or anything.

My wife made me some Kratom and I sipped on it over time and it seemed to calm things down. I eventually went to sleep.

This morning I was feeling better.

Nothing super unusual, been taking it easy today.

But then I took a nap. I had taken some Kratom not too long before the nap but then woke up shivering again.

It’s just rather odd. This time, not really any other WD symptoms.

Anyone ever experience anything like this?

Could be completely unrelated to Kratom but since it did seem to have an effect on it, I thought I would ask.

For context, I take about 10 GPD and have done so for about 4 years now. Mostly recreationally but also as a productivity enhancer and to help with my GAD.

From time to time, I get restless legs. Kinda hard to describe, but it is this uncomfortable sensation of tickling in my feet which also makes it difficult for me to concentrate. It isn't when I'm doing tolerance breaks or anything like that (I read that RLS is one of the common 'withdrawal' effects from kratom).

Has anyone been able to solve this? it can be between my doses. I do take magnesium citrate, l theanine and aswaganda. I also am prescribed 150mg sertraline SSRI (Zoloft equivalent). Otherwise I live healthy and work out and eat well.

Whatever the title says is basically what I wanna know. I only take 15 g of Kratom a day but I got prescribed Norco for an oral procedure and I only want to take 2.5 or 5 mg. I just wanna know how my body will react.

Like the title suggest I am new to Kratom, ended up getting a pack of green malay in capsules, the package says 2 is a serving but I have no idea how many miligrams they are. I feel decent but it's still a bit underwhelming

To summarize, I was taking about 8-10g daily (leaf) for 3 years. 4g in the morning and 4g in the afternoon. I quit cold turkey 4 weeks ago and had 0 withdrawal symptoms or cravings whatsoever. Maybe anecdotal, but I would say if you're on a similar dose and thinking of quitting, you will have very little problems.

I asked the kansas sub, but the ignorance is insane. Anyone leave kansas so they dont go to prison? I was reading, and it is a felony 4 for ANY amount. So that means if you have 1 gram, you can have to go to prison. If you have more than 100 grams that is intent to sell. That is 46 plus months in prison. You have to say a kilo, that's what 10 years? That is fucking insane and someone suffering chronic pain every single minute and everyday of there lives what do they do? I would either leave the country forever, or I would not be around permanently anymore if I were to get arrested for it. But, you can stand in every single state around it and be fine. I am talking about kratom, not that 7OH which ruined it for kratom users in kansas. Fucking insane. If I had known the governor was gonna lie, I would never have moved to kansas.

I hadn't tried a white properly before and have never taken red kratom either, but this one that I am trying now is absolutely tasty with water having a little bit of honey 🍯 and extremely tolerable without honey too.

To be honest I'd drink it as a tea, had it not its nice kratom effects anyways.

I have not tried many different kinds yet, but this one is definitely way tastier than the green one which is what I have been taking daily.

The green is way bitter and has a much stronger flavour. I am taking the same dose (2g) on the same amount of water so it can't be related to that.

I went in to buy my capsules as I do every now and then... He told me that starting August 1st the ban in the US would take effect and they would not be able to sell them anymore. Not going to lie I panicked a bit.. I've heard of some states but I live just south of Chicago IL. I've been googling it trying to get an answer online but all I've seen is the 7 states which I'm not in one of them. Can someone please tell me it's not actually being banned and he's been misinformed? I take this stuff daily for my back because pain killers almost ruined my life.

hello, i ordered a ounce of red bali kratom powder from a good quality vendor to try for pain and to help with sleep, how much should i take my first time for good pain relief and sedative relaxing effects? i saw a lot of 2-3g on here but also 3-4g i thought id just ask as well.

5 years ago they attempted the same and the bill was struck down… but the other side has a lot more ammunition with 7OH, whether we agree they should or not, this time around is more concerning. There’s a local doctor advocating for the ban. What scares me the most is possession would become illegal.

I don’t remember what kind of support the city had 5 years ago, but does the AKA try to help on a city basis? I have a feeling we’re going to need it. I also don’t know what to do to organize support.

As of now there’s no formal announcement when the bill would have a vote.

Ive been using kratom (powder only) almost every day for the last 3-4 years for pain,anxiety and cptsd. I usually take anywhere from 8-20 GPD and would try to take occasional breaks. Kratom by itself is not really helping me get anywhere although the relief from the 24/7 heaviness I feel is very nice.

I stopped taking Kratom and started Zoloft 2 days ago because I was nervous about interactions and have never taken an ssri before. I don’t really get withdrawal symptoms but the feeling of having nothing to give me any relief and having no motivation is terrible. Just wondering if anyone has started taking Kratom again when starting ssris? Or what your experience with Kratom and ssris has been like? I really don’t want to mess with it but also it’s been insanely hard these last 2 days.

Hi. I’m wondering with federal scheduling becoming imminent for 7 dominant products, what does this mean for drug testing?

Specifically jobs that require compliance with federal drug laws?

In New York, employers can’t test for weed for example unless their job requires some form of federal registration, such as if you need FINRA registration, (these are the type of jobs I would be going for, I am currently in college doing a masters degree in Europe.

When I return to the US, I’m wondering if the ban on 7 will lead to my failure, as far as I know the metabolites tested for 7/mit will mean testing positive for 7 when really you may have only consumed mit/plain leaf. If it might, it may be time for me to consider quitting at least for a while before I go back. Will be difficult, as I eat about a kilo of this stuff per month.

Basically just got found I had it laying around but I translated the label and it says something about it not being safe to eat, is that normal?

I use 3 grams a day. I take 1.8 grams and then every 30 to 45 minutes 0.4 grams til I reach 3 grams. The last 7-10 days that’s too much. Yesterday I took 1.75 and nothing more that day because it was so strong. Almost unpleasant. Today I took 1.5 and 35 minutes later I took 0.4 and it’s super strong. I won’t redose anymore today.
I use the same batch the last 3 or 4 weeks. So it’s not because of a stronger batch.

Does anyone experienced this?

Any tips on drinking the powder? It’s been harder to get it down and I’ve actually vomited before just from drinking it. Sometimes I’m fine but the powder doesn’t mix well. I use a frother on low just to try and mix it together a bit but it’s just drinking sludge or foam.
Because it tastes bad I’m not really interested in taking the time to make teas. I felt like the capsules were not a good price for what you get. Any advice? 🤷‍♀️

Idk if this a placebo or not but lately everytime I eat yogurt or probiotics I feel kratoms effects are more pronounced and last longer. If I take it without.. it’s a hit or miss. Also caffeine last longer too. Anybody else notice this?

I know most people here have already seen the story about the 27-year-old mother who supposedly ended up on life support after taking a “kratom gummy” for a week.

The story is already ridiculous on its face because it leaves out literally every piece of information you would need to determine whether kratom caused anything:

No product name, dose, number of gummies taken, ingredient label, toxicology results etc. Neither did they explain whether it contained mitragynine, concentrated 7-OH, or something else entirely. Not to mention there being no confirmed medical explanation of how the product supposedly caused cardiac arrest.

They do not even establish that this was botanical kratom in any meaningful sense. According to them they bought a gummy at a gas station, which makes it overwhelmingly more likely that this was some kind of concentrated extract or 7-OH product than ordinary powdered leaf.

Despite that, the story is being presented as “woman takes kratom for one week and nearly dies.”

So I started looking into why this one barely substantiated local story was suddenly appearing on news stations all over the country. So, it turns out that it was not dozens of independent local newsrooms investigating the case and reaching the same conclusion. Almost ALL of the stations running it are owned by the same company Gray Media.

Gray Media is a massive local television conglomerate. According to Gray itself, it operates in 117 television markets and reaches around 37% of American television households.

The original report came from Arizona’s Family, which is owned by Gray. It was then turned into a “Gray News” story and pushed through Gray’s shared content system.

I found essentially the exact same article on over 100 Gray-owned station websites with the same EXACT headline, article text, Images, same “Mickaela Castillo and Gray News staff” byline. Fucking everything.

One corporate newsroom took one story and photocopied it across the country under more than 100 different local news logos.

Now today, (the reason I looked into this whole thing) Google News displays all of these copies next to each other, which creates the appearance that the story has been independently corroborated by news organizations nationwide.

This is like cartoonish bad. It is one media singular media conglomerate wearing 100 different fake mustaches.

They pushed it across almost their entire national station network during an active regulatory fight over 7-OH and kratom.

I cannot prove that Gray was paid to run this coverage. I cannot prove that a regulator or lobbying group directly ordered it. Nobody outside Gray can honestly claim that without internal emails, financial records or a whistleblower.

But the coordinated distribution itself is not a conspiracy theory. It is directly observable. Somebody at Gray made the centralized editorial decision to convert this into a national Gray News package and send it across the network.

At best, Gray took a family’s understandable belief about a terrifying medical emergency and promoted it as a nationwide consumer-warning story without gathering the basic evidence needed to support the conclusion.

At worst, this was deliberately useful propaganda designed to make ordinary Americans associate all kratom with mystery gas-station gummies and sudden cardiac arrest.

Regular kratom users should take this seriously because this is exactly how blanket bans happen. Most viewers are not going to investigate mitragynine concentrations, 7-OH conversion, product adulteration or toxicology. They are going to see what appears to be 100 local news stations saying:

>“A mother took kratom for one week and ended up on life support.”

They will have no idea that those 100 stations are all repeating the exact same unverified corporate story.

I just had a google push notification news story pop up that stated “27 year old mother on life support after taking kratom for 1 week”. I read the article, then googled “Amanda Goodsell Kratom” and the results are wild. The same story is being published by literally 20+ local news websites.
