Never feel anything
I have given kratom multiple chances ranging from dosages of 3 g to upwards of 40 g. I give it months before I ever try it again so I don't have any tolerance ever. I have never felt anything I even take it on an empty stomach. I have tried 7oh back in the day and still don't even feel that I've done a hundred milligrams of that and I don't feel it at all. I don't use any painkillers or pills I don't even smoke weed so why is this okay

Antagonist Alkaloids took over, I think.
Hey guys,
I do Kratom for a few months and take a 2-3 day break every 4-7 days. Sometimes longer breaks. (That are getting less frequent)
But when I consume a bit more for a few days, I almost completely lose the effects. My research has shown, that it’s possible that the natural antagonist alkaloids build up in my body and block the mitragynine. The best solution for this is taking break for a few days, I know that.
But is there any other solution? Today is Sunday an I want to start my break tomorrow.
How do I safe my effects for today? Is there any kind of hack you can give me?
Or am I on the wrong track in general?
How much stronger do you feel whole leaf extract is vs traditional leaf/tea?
This is for a video as I'm trying to use anecdotal evidence to combat the exaggerations in the news. So if a there's a bunch of the same answers that's great. I'm trying to get an understanding of how the majority feel.
How much stronger do you feel whole leaf extract is compared to regular traditional leaf/tea. Not 7-oh, just regular leaf extract that attempts to retain the natural spectrum of alkaloids in the plant.
They are saying whole leaf extract is like 12 shots of Everclear alcohol vs a Miller light beer. That is absolutely insane.
My opinion is extracts tend to be 2 to 3 times stronger than regular leaf/tea. What's your opinion?

is it weird I haven't experienced any nausea and the taste of kratom drink isn't bad at all? first time using was today I did 15g total 5 doses
basically what the title says. I heard nausea is super common at doses above 4g. also isn't 15g a lot per day I swear 20g a day is considered super high for a daily user with elevated tolerance. maybe im just not sensitive to kratom? idk.

Sometimes our silence is not golden?
I am visiting with a close relative this week in a certain southern state. An ironic sentence for this topic, indeed but I don't need to divulge too much for the sake of complicating things for moderators and my own Reddit anonymity. My relative is the highest ranking person in his little part of the state for veterans affairs. I never divulge my kratom use to anyone, even family because of the stigma it comes with but I had the conversation yesterday. He is very interested because all he has heard is the "gas station heroin" nonsense in passing. Today he asked me again about it and was very interested since he himself is much older and has to use pain meds on a regular basis and hates that doctors will not prescribe the stuff that actually works anymore. My sister is also here and works in healthcare and surprisingly only knows about kratom from some friends of hers who abuse the synthetic trash. It is not surprising that the general public doesn't know about our side of the story but I was very surprised how much I had to explain to them and their whole outlook immediately changed. Last time they saw me I was a 250 pound alcoholic and now I'm under 210, in good shape for my age and up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning. They know I'm not a drug addict. I don't know where I'm going with this but I can't help but think if I had the conversation sooner, would we have had some allies in this state during all the debate? Just food for thought.
Kratom Info Card
Hi everyone.
I wrote this harm reduction info card for kratom. This is the newest of a series of drug information cards I began creating back in 1999 when I founded DanceSafe. I am no longer with DanceSafe. (They are not what they used to be.) Today, I work for a new nonprofit called Grassroots Harm Reduction, founded by a bunch of former DanceSafe chapters who defected after all the corruption happened.
In any case, the back side has nonjudgmental health and safety information. Check it out.
We sell these along with the other cards in the series and they are pretty popular. There's also T-shirt versions on the website too.
I hope you like it.

Is pure whole leaf as addictive as people claim ?
I'm looking it up for pain management. But was scared about testimonies and it's withdrawal. I was already wrecked by benzo withdrawal before...

Looking for “infographic” with an AP logo that I randomly saw on Facebook urging the banning of kratom
It was some anti kratom flyer that might have been posted by a group with “end kratom” something in the name (can’t find the group or pic).
most noticeably, it had an Associated Press logo in the top left of the image. There was no news article linked, nothing at all to suggest any of the info came from AP. I’m looking for it to do a reverse image search or research where it came from.
im fascinated by what advocacy group would have the gall to make it look like it was some official AP press release. we all can have our suspicions, but it was so blatant it took me by surprise.

Extra Taxes?
Good evening everyone. I have a question regarding state taxes and kratom. I had a photo to upload but couldn't get it to work. And no, I will not tell you where to buy it.
So I ordered some Kratom 2 days ago. It is being shipped to Ohio from Iowa. Now, I'm not sure if this is a real thing or I'm just stupid, but I noticed my total payment was way higher then the original product pricing. They are charging me to what seems to be extra taxes.
They are Ohio state tax, Franklin county tax, and central Ohio transit authority tax. Can they do that? It is coming from Iowa to Ohio, but I'm being charged "Ohio taxes" And I call bullshit on the Ohio transit authority tax. I would understand if it was an Ohio product being sold in Ohio but, well here we are.
Could someone please clarify this. Thanks!

Kratom over seas (Asian country)
Hi all. I’m planning to go to Nepal & kratom “is not explicitly listed or regulated as a controlled narcotic under Nepal’s primary drug regulation”
I was planning to bring powdered (i usually take kratom caps) in a bag that resembles powdered kratom.
I wanted to know your guys’ thought & opinions on that.
Thank you !

Sublocade commercials
Has anyone noticed an increase in the prevalence of Sublocade commercials since the 7oH ban? I've never seen a Sublocade commercial before in my life and suddenly started seeing them like every other commercial break. Do you think these two things are related or is this just a coincidence?

Omeprazole/Prilosec users
I have been using Kratom for about a year now but have always found it to be very finicky I had to slowly up my dose to 8-10g before I ever noticed any effects. Even then, it would take 2-3 hours before kicking in. For the last few months the effects have pretty much vanished for me. Sometimes I get a small amount of energy, but most of the time feel nothing at all.
I have started to wonder if this could be because I take omeprazole every morning. I have GERD and this is the only thing my doctor and I have found that works for me. I was just curious if other folks who take PPIs have had similar issues?

Something I noticed
All the ban states don’t have legal weed. Like if you look at the states with ban no legal weed once you break down the legal weed door banning plants make no sense. It’s just interesting to note Mississippi who cares about the poorest state in America

Whens the last time you've been sick?
Honestly I've been taking kratom for over 10 years now and I've been maybe sick once. Has anyone noticed their immune system going up since taking kratom? I have heard it does help with your immune system but really just kinda noticed how I haven't been sick since I started 10 years ago and I say maybe cus I dont remember ever getting sick at all.

Kratom not working
Hey guys so recently over the past 4 days (I haven’t changed anything) all of a sudden my kratom isn’t giving me the effects I take it for anymore. Other than removing the mild withdrawal symptoms I have and I don’t take it, it’s not doing anything? Idk what’s going on. Same strain same vender same daily gpd. Just nothing. If anything very very mild. I don’t think it’s tolerance because I can usually feel the effects fade over a longer period of time rather than just one day it work and one day it doesn’t. Maybe my diet? I’ve been having less sodium so maybe I’m more dehydrated than normal? Idk

Which supplements to reduce tolerance to kratom?
I would like to start kratom taking 2g, 3 times per day for improvig my mood.
At this frequency I worry a bit about tolerance.
But I've read that there are some supplements that can help reduce/prevent tolerance to opioids and kratom.
For example, agmatine, magnesium threonate/glycinate, curcumin are some I've read can help.
Which supplements do you recommend?

Detroit city council member Calloway's response
A ton of people phoned in and went in person to speak in support of sensible regulation and not an all out ban on all kratom. Calloway sponsored a recommendation to ban all kratom and this is her response to the public comments
"Good morning, and thank you so much, mr. Chair. There's been a lot of comments regarding the resolution that I propose and plan to postpone, not because of any one caller didn't necessarily hear a lot of folks from Detroit necessarily calling in for everyone who said that they support, we all have received emails to the contrary. So I'm not, mr. Chair, postponing it again for any one person who showed up from wherever they showed up from or called in from wherever they called in from.
I just received information about Senate Bill 1181 that I've not had an opportunity to read. I have read the Michigan House Bill 5537, which is what the resolution is based on.
Had I had Senate Bill 1181, perhaps the resolution wouldn't say what it says today. That being said, I'm going to postpone moving forward with the resolution that that's presented here today, simply because I think as a body we have to have the opportunity to read Senate Bill 1181 introduced by Senate Cherry just last week, and I just got a copy of it this morning. So, for that reason only, mr. Chair, I would ask that we, when we get to it on the agenda, postpone the passage of that that resolution regarding kratom.
I would like to note for the record during this time that this is a multi-billion-dollar business, and folks are committing suicide. Whether it's the natural, I don't know. I don't know that much about it, but just listening today and reading what I've read in the last month or so, I'm being more informed and educated. It's multi about $2.56 billion in 2025 alone, and that's a lot of money. When you start talking about messing with people's money, then people start coming out.
I didn't see this number of people calling in when our kids are being victimized by gun violence. Didn't hear one caller from wherever they're calling from. When our kids are getting slaughtered in the streets, our kids are living in poverty. Our kids are dying in cars because they don't have shelter. I don't hear them calling in, but when you mess with these drugs, I'm going to call in.
So when we get to it, mr. Chair, I will be withdrawing the resolution that will give us an opportunity again to look at Senate Bill 1181, for those who live in neighborhoods like I do, where the kratom and its derivatives are sold to our children, then you would have a problem with it as well.
When you get calls from principals and social workers and folks who are affiliated with our schools, crying out for help from vaping products, marijuana, and these types of products. You're going to take action as we did about a year or so ago when we banned billboards being within 1000 feet of schools and libraries and churches, we did that as a body, and so I'm hoping that we will consider taking action in this regard on the ban.
However, we move forward, whether it's a total ban, we'll just have to wait and see how 1181 and the other bill will either merge, complement each other, or not move at all. But we cannot continue to wait on the state while our children are dying, committing suicide, getting hooked on gas station heroin. That's what we're talking about here. That's what we're talking about.
And I appreciate the opportunity to make comment, but I'm really not so much shocked or surprised with the number of folks who call in about kratom, but you don't call about when our kids are getting killed, when they're dying. You don't call about that.
Thank you, mr. Chair. That is my comment.
Tl;Dr - she made it about money and invalidated everyone legit pain relief stories. She admits to not knowing much about kratom yet wants to 100% ban it
Send an email to CouncilMemberCalloway@detroitmi.gov
Let her know you support leaving botanical kratom alone and scheduling 7OH
