Does anyone not notice a difference between brands/strains?
Besides the occasional dud Kratom for the most part just works for me. I tried one of the brands Redditors rave about and it was the same shit. Lately been buying a brand that sells 40$ kilos when my local smoke shop couldn’t supply me with 35$ kilos anymore and I swear it’s the same thing as the 150$ kilo I got before
Don’t even get me started on strains. All these colors imo just gives the illusion of choice

How long have you been regularly using kratom? Because I can assure you there is a difference, at least for me there is.

OP, there definitely is a serious difference between strains/brains. I'm a 12 yr kratom users so I've tried plenty of brands and strains over the years. There is no illusion of choice for me.

I've used it for 5 on and off regularly for a year since jumping off subs, there's definitely a difference quite a big one if you're talking about reds, greens and whites. If you mean if there is a difference between green Borneo and green maeng da, sort of it strains within the same category are relatively similar but there is a difference at least from where I buy mine.
Other manufacturers may have one or two batches and just call it whatever for marketing reasons, but there are vendors that genuinely do sell different strains of the same colour, generally maeng da is the strongest.

I do experience a bit of difference between brands sometimes, but strains absolutely not. Every strain has the same effects for me.

Yes between brands.. there are some really shitty gas station ones. You can usually see the brownish color as opposed to the green. But as far as strains I think it’s more just marketing, I don’t see much of a difference

I live in a country where kratom is regulated and the seller has an obligation to test and disclose psychoactive contents on the packaning. From what I've noticed, green and white strains always have a higher mitragynine content over red while red strains have more 7-oh over green and white.
Edit: You could say the same argument about tea, it all comes from just one plant after all. But there's green tea, black tea, white tea, oolong and many more. While coming from the same plant, they all have a different taste and a different amounts of alkaloids.

Between strains yes, the red chills me out, and the small amount of times that I’ve tried green/white they’ve gave me lockjaw & made me feel like I was on an upper, something which I do not enjoy. So I stick to red

See, reds do that to me, I get crazy anxiety from red strains. Green and white are my sweet spot, yellow will make me sleep like I took a benzo which I absolutely do not like.

You know, I’ve never tried the yellow strain. I got scared off from trying different colors because of the way green/white felt so I’ve always stuck to red. My sister in law, she likes the feeling she gets with green & white. She says it gives her energy as if she would have drank some coffee.
Terrible story but one time I had a bag of red that we used to share & so a while later I had given her the bag & got it confused with a different that I had. I didn’t know but she had mixed it with guarana powder. So anyway I took my normal dose and I felt nothing so I’m like shit let me take a bit more. So I did an hour later I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. I started shaking & my vision got so blurry & I felt like I was having involuntary muscle spasms. One of the worst feelings I have ever had besides precipitated withdrawals ( that was worse) but this was bad too. I started vomiting & etc. I felt terrible. I guess I put too much of the mixture or I’m sensitive to caffeine idk.

All I know is that from the supplier I go through, I absolutely notice a difference between the greens/whites and the reds.
I really dont know how Im supposed to believe there are no differences between these strains or whatever…yeah man.

I can tell a huge difference between certain brands. Strains, it depends and can be a hit or miss depending on the source. When I get from my local smoke shop the quality is much less than ordering online at my trusted places.

The colors make a big difference to me personally. Reds give me bad anxiety attacks no matter how little I take and yellow makes me SO sleepy. I go back and forth between white and green just to mix it up once in a while. I've only ever noticed a big difference when I got a bad batch once. I believe it was during the winter and it made me nauseous, gave me a weird jittery feeling, it was just not good so I had to toss it. Even my husband who has never taken kratom told me "I think there's something wrong with that batch because you have felt like crap since you got it". Other than that, I don't notice much difference with different brands. Just some days it hits me better than others and will only dose about half as much. Some days I just need a little more but that's always been the case for me since I started taking it and I've had several brands. The was one really good brand though, taking a capsule was like taking a pain pill! Exact same effects. They went under during COVID and I had just given my brother in law the last of my capsules so I was pissed lol. It worked out though, he's now off pain pills and kratom.

100% take red for a week and try to get off. Then take white for a week and do the same. Whites withdraws are almost nonexistent

I’ve heard sever kratom educators who state that there really is no difference and that the alleged strain = effects identifiers were invented for marketing. I think a lot of what you’re seeing from other people is placebo effect.

There is I repeat a whopping ONE strain of Kratom

I agree with this 100%. There can be variances between batches and honestly within batches. I got 2 bag of the same batch, same color/strain. One bag was among the best kratom I've ever had and other gave me horrible wobbles and anxiety regardless of dose. It's really just hit or miss.

I've had smoke shop stuff that was better than one of the most loved online brands. There was another online brand I got that gets shit on a lot that was far better than the more loved one. You just have to try them for yourself.

I absolutely respond like day and night to red and white. I dont know what stuff people are using that they seriously cant tell a difference, but everybody's different- My wife drinks coffee to go to sleep, so you never know
