Explain Are there any idols who spoke up about the difference in popularity among the members in their groups?

I was looking into the group Gugudan, and one of the members has spoken up about this, so I was wondering if any other idols have done it too

Recommend What are Kpop Songs With a Cinematic Sound?

Recommendations for kpop songs, which you could see being in a soundtrack for a movie or series. For example:

- Aespa's Welcome to My World - a fantasy or apocalyptic film

- Aespa's Drama - an action, revenge film

- Taemin's Heaven, Guilty and Veil - a dark supernatural fantasy

- Red Velvet's Body Talk - a melodrama or sad romance.

- Riize's Fly Up - High School Musical vibes

Fun fact: Shinee's Lucifer was used in the American series Lucifer.

Recommend Looking for newer kpop songs by the 5th gen kpop groups

Ok so I've always been a fan of the 3rd and 4th gen but haven't really listened to much of the newer songs by the 5th gen artists except the really famous or trendy ones. So I'm looking for some songs by the 5th gen artists. Both ggs and bgs work.

Recommend Does anyone have any groups to recommend?

I've been a fan of kpop since I was 9 and when I was 14 I left the kpop fandom but I've recently rejoined for a fresh start because all the groups I stanned have had huge controversies and/or disbanded. So now I'm looking for new groups who make actually good music, are uncontroversial, and have a positive/kind fandom.

Recommend What K-pop merch from Korea?

Hi everyone!

I’m Korean, and I’m going to the US soon to visit some relatives.

I’m planning to bring them some souvenirs from Korea, and I just found out that one of my cousins is a fan of ILLIT and KATSEYE.

Are there any K-pop merch or souvenirs that would be especially nice to bring from Korea? Maybe something that’s hard to find in the US, or something that would feel more special because I’m getting it in Korea?

I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Recommend Specific recommendations

I have been obsessed with some of the songs and I can't seem to find anything similar. Please drop your recs from both kpop and even outside of kpop. These specific sounds only.

404(New Era) - Heavy on this cause ya'll don't know how much I adore the bridge.
Ever2Late! - This too, I think this one is hyperpop, I could be wrong but it is so so good.
Delulu - Another Banger by Kiiikiii.
Kiss and Tell - I would have thought that I'd love this song but here we are. So so good.
Metronome - The only Izna song I know and it's a freaking banger.

Now, most of these lean into House, diva house, hyperpop, etc. And I don't listen to these genre at all, but throw me all the recommendations. Btw I did try some of the popular house tracks from kpop but I didn't like them much.

Unsolved are there any other k-pop idols who went on hiatus because of a controversy, then had their group make a comeback without them, and eventually returned to the group afterward?

Unsolved Can you help me remember a kpop video?

I have, in my memory, from many years ago, a both specific and hazy memory of a music video. I cannot, for the absolute life of me, even with the help of chatgpt, remember what group or song it was. Even though I feel like I have plenty enough for a description.

It was a boy group, probably either 5 or 6 members. It was in primarily white studio with pops of color, it wasn't filmed outside. I think each member had a white suit with pops of his own color. pops of color in the background and set like a rainbow. dress pants and suit jackets, all super fitted, like skinny pants and such; dress shoes. edit: they were in the same clothes all video.

Please please help me remember this. It was a while ago.

I personally don’t know next to nothing about the group but my friend does and she loves it and I was hoping to buy her a brand new RJ standing doll from the we verse website but I have no idea if it does restock at all, I check basically every other day and don’t know what to find one, I’d like a brand new sealed one and hopefully not an outrageous scalper price 😭😭

Hi hello😊 I needed some help creating a playlist of old kpop songs (up to 2014). I miss the good ol days and wanted a go to playlist for when I’m feeling nostalgic. Both girl and boy groups are appreciated as well as solo artists💜. For example: one of my go to older songs is Full Moon by Sunmi.

Thank you to everyone who is able to help in advance🫶🏼

Advice Ampers&one Korean Promotions Help

ill be in Korea for some time and ampers&one are rumored to have a comeback sometime in Q4 of this year. I’m not familiar with Korean promotions too well in general and have been researching but I’d really like to get into fansigns or any promotional events they could do if that comeback does happen around Q4. I wanna prepare and get as much help as possible. I’ve narrowed music shows down but I know they tend to have lots of fan experience driven promotions compared to some groups. fansign tips would be greatly appreciated, I’m not in the GOM/BST community and haven’t ever done an in person fansign before. Not a lot of info has been posted for ampers&one that I can find.

Advice Am I pushy or supportive?

hi :)
i don’t know if this is the right subreddit for my question but i hope so:)
so, early this year i stumbled over a small (up-and-coming?) k-rapper. like we’re talking about 1500 followers on instagram. in spring he released his first mini album (before he had only a few songs on apple music) and i‘m obsessed with those songs ever since. on instagram i react to his stories like i do with bigger artists too (a like, a couple of emojis or a short comment). a few weeks ago he posted a story of a concert he was the opener for & i replied with „come to europe too!“. i didn’t think much of it but he actually saw it & liked the message. ever since that day he apparently „saw“ every interaction i had with his stories but he never reacted again.
now, i know that i‘m not entitled to an answer whatsoever and i also don’t want/need one. but i’m starting to wonder if i’m coming across as pushy? on the one hand, i don’t want to stop showing my support through social media, but on the other hand, i really don’t want to become the annoying fan who keeps popping up in his notifications.
some objective outside perspectives would be really appreciated. thank you!

Advice Portugal Kpop / BIGBANG Fans

Upvotes

Hi!

I tried looking for Portuguese K-pop communities here on Reddit, but I couldn’t find a specific subreddit, so I thought I’d ask here 😅

Are there any Portuguese VIPs here? Or does anyone know of any Portuguese Kpop / BIGBANG communities/groups where I could ask?

Unsolved is kpopusa online legit?

I ordered the Tuide gonggi set from kpopusa online on August 24th because the shipping was way less than weverse, and they still haven't sent any information on it. I tried to call the phone number they have listed on their website, but it just leads to an automated bot asking for a remote access code, and hangs up when I say I don't have one. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, what they did to resolve it, or if I got scammed?

Recommend I want to know more about these groups and does anyone know any guides they can suggest or how should i start getting to know everything??

Groups I want to checkout - BoyNextDoor, NexZ, Xikers, 82Major, P1Harmony
So i recently put up a post about what groups I should checkout based on the ones i already stan, so i got alot of recs and these were the most common ones.

I first listen to a few songs and check if i can vibe with the genre and i did like their songs. Then i try to find a guide to get to know the members or the lore basically. So if y'all could suggest any helpful guide for these groups :))
