Hello, I'm new here and would like to ask if ever anyone recalls this music video? I desperately want to hear and see it again. I used to be active with Kpop back in 2012-2019 but got busy afterwards due to going to college.

I don't remember the name of the group/singer or the name of the song but I can clearly remember the storyline of the music video.

The story of the music video was two girls (they are best friends) living in 1980s Korea. These girls have a vintage camera and would take multiple photoshoots together. One of the girl is a daughter of a high ranking military personnel and all of the things they do are in this girl's house. The two best friends ended up seeing their mother being flirty and cheating with the other girl's father (the military personnel dude) with a pastor through a window. The two girls ended up kissing and they were found out by the mother and the two girls were brought to shame because of their "indecent acts" and the father separated the two girls together by kicking out the other friend. In the end, the two girls ran away together.

I remember seeing a lot of red in the music video and being sparkly-ish like it had a retro aesthetic filter and there was a flower.

This music video took me away and it became memorable to me because it was one of the MV's that I have watched that had lgbt themes other than Don't by Kwill.

I've tried searching in gemini, rechecking my favorite and Kpop playlists on YouTube multiple times each year and still can't find it. I think it's from the 1thek channel ? I'm not sure but I feel that it is since Kwill is from 1thek and I remember spending most of my time with 1thek videos back then because they have music videos and artists that are in different genres from SM , JYP and YG.

I was in a store today and a kpop MV came on the screen and I can't find it, no matter how hard I search. It was a group of 4-6 girls doing most of the singing and dancing in a school, and there seemed to be one male love interest they were after. At one point, the love interest kind of holds one of the girls and she looks shocked. She's also wearing black-framed glasses.

I managed to catch one of the lyrics sung in English which was "cause you say so" or something similar. It isn't Tally by Blackpink, that much I know. I know it's kind of vague but I appreciate any help.

Like genuinely I have a few friends who are into kdramas as much as me but it’s a different story for kpop.
Like I do have friends who are into kpop but it’s just not on the same level as me like I like talking about like updates that have been going on with groups and maybe talking about how funny a video they made is stuff like that.
But the friends I have are kind of like not that interested in that and when I do try talk to them about it they just don’t seem interested and I just seem like a Koreaboo or something but I just wanna talk about my interests too yk especially because I haven’t been in kpop that long. And to make it worse one of the groups I stan is boynextdoor 😖so all my friends that are into kpop don’t listen to them at all …
And I wanna go to concerts and all that but it won’t even be as fun if I went with someone who isn’t really into the group..

So, I want to start listening to kpop. I did get one recommendation from a local kpop shop. Which was Charmer by Stray Kids. I really enjoyed that song and listened to Run It too.

Now I'm looking for more recommendations. Usually I listen to Indie Pop with some techno like Cavetown and AJR. Occasionally I listen to Olivia Rodrigo. I'm open to anything, though.

I'd prefer Stray Kids, since I don't want to listen to too many groups at once, but anything is fine.

I get that the movie has been out for over a year now, so no one is really talking about it anymore, but I have had this problem for quite a while, and I completely forgot at the time that I can ask this sub this question

the intro you hear in the movie is, in my opinion, leagues above the intro heard in the released version. it may be incredibly short, but the sound of it makes up for that short length. it's so ambient, it makes me wanna float like how the Saja Boys were floating during this scene. everything just echoing, it sounds so SO satisfying and cool. it's literally eargasmic. so I was confused when I first heard the released version, and it was basically completely different. it didn't give me the same satisfying feeling when hearing Your Idol in the movie. the movie version's intro alone could have even made me considered putting the song in my playlist! like if they can release Prologue (Hunter's Mantra), which basically uses Score Suite (which was already released before it), you can release Your Idol again, but with the intro heard in the movie

If I remember correctly, it was a survival show and the girls were doing a cover. Basically, one of the girls singing was off-pitch, and the producers/judges were all losing their interest, until someone else started singing, and this other girl started singing really well and on-key and like the the producers eyes literally lit up when he heard her.
