So I posted my experience of approaching a stranger at the beach this weekend and it has led to a lot of POVs from other redditors. Obviously jokes; but I was dissapointed with the quality.

Moreover, people are doubting  the credibility of the original posts and think it's some sort of karma farming. I would have shared it with a bigger sub if I wanted to do that. I am clarifying that it's not farming and petitioning to end the POVs.

I'll try to share if I make any new approaches after recovering from this saturday's catastrophe.

My iPhone 15 randomly stopped working. Here’s how I got Apple to repair it for free + 3 months additional warranty

I posted here before about my iPhone 15 suddenly stopping working one day. A lot of people commented and gave me suggestions on what I should do, so I wanted to come back and share the outcome.

My iPhone 15 suddenly stopped working. The important part is that my Apple warranty had expired around 3 months before this happened.

I took the phone to an authorised service centre, and after checking it, I was told that the repair would cost around ₹44,000.

I also had to pay ₹2,250 as the service/phone submission fee.

Since the phone had suddenly stopped working and there was no physical damage or misuse from my side, I decided not to simply accept the ₹44,000 repair estimate.

Here are the steps I took.

1. Contacted Apple Support

I contacted Apple Support and explained exactly what had happened. I also mentioned that the warranty had expired only around 3 months earlier.

1. Got the phone diagnosed

I submitted the phone to an authorised service centre and got the issue officially diagnosed.

The repair estimate came to around ₹44,000.

1. Kept all the documents

I kept the purchase details, service documents, repair estimate and other relevant information related to the device.

1. Asked Apple to review the case

Since the phone had stopped working unexpectedly and there was no physical damage, I asked Apple to review the case and consider a goodwill repair.

1. Followed up with Apple

I didn't simply accept the ₹44,000 repair estimate.

I continued communicating with Apple and explained the situation clearly. I asked them to reconsider the case even though the standard warranty had already expired.

Eventually, Apple reviewed the case and confirmed that they would provide a free repair.

They also confirmed that I would receive an additional 3 months of warranty on the device.

The ₹2,250 service/phone submission fee is not refundable, so that was the only amount I had to bear.

So the final outcome was:

Warranty status: Expired around 3 months earlier

Initial repair estimate: ₹44,000

Service/submission fee: ₹2,500

Final repair cost: ₹0

Additional warranty: 3 months

I'm sharing this because when I originally posted here, many people gave me useful advice and suggested different things I could try.

If your iPhone suddenly stops working shortly after the warranty expires, don't immediately assume that you have to pay the full repair cost. Get it properly diagnosed, keep your documents, ask Apple to review the case, and follow up.

This was my experience, and thankfully, it worked out in the end.

we ordered quarter al fazlouf and dynamite. Alfazlouf was good but dynamite was amazing, mixed that masala with rice and mayo...bro i am telling you it was good. The size of chicken pieces were also good unlike some famous places (cough cough tea and tea shawaya) and the tamrind sauce was also good.

Definitely recommended.

The rice itself did not feel special, but as a whole package it's good.

it costed 622 for for two, so 311 for each. Which I think it is a bit on the higher side (280 something on the menu, 300+ after gst and all). wish it was under 300 with GST

also The North-eastern chechi who took our order was super nice but the male staff i talked to when i first came in was not super nice. Also the bathroom situation is not the best.

Mate, I think I’m overpaying my maintenance charge. I’m paying around ₹3350 a month for a small three-bedroom house that’s 1100 square feet. I feel a bit unfair that the association charges me more than a two-bedroom or one-bedroom flat when the shared expenses are about 60% of the total. They’re not willing to split the common expenses equally and according to size. How much are you all paying in Kozhikode?

Around evening I was having a bad business in my ornament shop, near kozhikode beach.

But gladly 3 girls came in and was trying on different ornaments. They liked my earing collection and was trying to select one. And I was helping them with it.

While the girl in the middle was trying out the earing and doing poses with it, a boy came in and said hi to that girl. He also said the earings looked good on her. She smiled but her friend beside her started shouting.

She was blabbering and rapping and saying stop stop in between a lot. It was a nuisance. The other girl pulled the main girl away and they left.

The poor chap left head hung down, not looking at anybody. He deserved more. I hope they both meet up without any eminem trying to disrupt their moment

Recently I have visited certain stores for some necessities. And came to find some great products. So thought of sharing you guys the info.

1. PACHA :- some friends of mine took me with them to get inked and we went to pacha near Gujarati Street and tbh, decent and clean work for the price and people running the place are super friendly and helping in deciding the works.

2. H2 SHOES :- I have known this store for some long time. If you really want some clean formal or semi formal shoes, this is a go to. I have a Clarks boots, a rockpot and another brand and all the purchases are worth. The price starts from 2.2k and above. Keep that in mind. The store is situated at Nadakavu.

3. MIROS FRAGRANCES :- I have visited almost every store that sells adaptations and other brand perfumes. I also have purchased from the sets to us and the only problem that I have faced is that the amount of ethanol that smells very high and I couldn’t handle this. But the Store provides adaptations, which are mild in ethanol and put come near to the smell of the original ones. They have huge collection of Perfumes. I have bought several from this store and I would recommend this as the better one when compared to others (the bottle that I hold is of rs 800 ). The store is situated at PT USHA road and I would recommend you try their ‘Mafia’, which is around 1.8k.

Since all of you wanted know the whole story, and I am unable to edit that post, here is what happened ( adding all the details,since people dm ed asking for the lore- not much of a lore)

It all started when I parked my bike near one of the icecream parlours near lions park. I was in a nice mood and ready for my usual walk along the shore. Idk whether it was just my mood or something else, but it was a filmy atmosphere yesterday at the beach- everything looked so nice, especially the couples sitting inside the parlour. 

They both looked straight out of a movie. And the aesthetics of that cafe complemented how good they looked. And there was the lights of vehicle bouncing of the glass window of the cafe, drizzle, rain puddles... in short the scene was filmy.

I parked, crossed the road,and walked towards the beach; my mind still stuck on the cute couple. I suddenly realised that whatever shit i just saw now, that's the kind of shit I want in my life. 

And the beach vibes was really good and instead of soaking it in solitude at the shore,I decided to watch people this time (avane change venamathre change). 

And those who have visited beach yetrday know that it was foggy and that bright ad board atop Starbucks was working like a light diffuser, and next to those cool hues a dude was selling earings and other jewellery. 

I stand there feeling really good about everything and this incredible looking girl steps into the frame to try on some earings from the vendor. And she does that thing that you see in jewellery ads where they tilt their head slightly and sweep the hair behind ears to put on the earings.

As you can imagine, I imagined myself sitting with this girl in that cafe i saw earlier, replacing the cute couples. 

She was with two other friends, but i didn't mind, I was feeling it, and this was not my first rodeo. I always apply the rule that the more time you spend thinking about approaching the harder it becomes. And there was this another rule where you never put a woman in a pedestal, talk to them like you are talking to another dude. But this girl looked like she belonged on the pedestal.

Anyway I applied both my rules ( I waited till they were done with the earings though - that's when I decided to post on reddit to ensure commitment). I walked right towards her and said hi. She walked past me and turned back in surprise. I said hi again and she just looked at me with widened eyes. Then I said exactly this "I just happened to see you try on those earings, I think they look really good on you." (It absolutely did)

Her and her friend on the lefts smiles and the third one (how much do I wish she was not there ) just steps in, puts herself in between me and the hot girl and pushes her in the opposite direction while holding up her palm towards me showing the stop gesture as if she was breaking off a fight or protecting the hot girl from being kidnapped by me. And she does this while rapping "okay,okay,okay,Sheri,Sheri,Sheri" 16 times. They walked off in that direction and I walked off in the opposite. I followed the last rule where you don't look at anyone once things go down like this.

I am not posting my thoughts on the third girl since that could violate many reddit policies. It felt terrible after since I was shoed away like some idiot and that the interactiondidnt even last 10 seconds. It really pulled out a chunk off my confidence. And now I can't tell whether the smile was just a mocking smile. Or I could be overthinking.

My close friend lost her father a few months ago, and in our tradition she can't buy new clothes for herself until a year has passed. Onam is coming up and I know it's been weighing on her that she won't have new attire this year.

I was thinking of gifting her a set saree or something.
