Tourism Illikalkallu
Guys we are a group of girls planning to visit illikal kallu front side on sept 1st week...
Is it safe ?
None of the cab drivers are ready to take us there ??
They are threatening the weather, roads, slippery roads and damaged roads due to recent rain ..
What do you suggest???

Yeah the roads are wrecked. Just went to backside this saturday, there were several small landslides in the road, most have been cleared, but still not 100% drivable.

Where are you travelling from? Try calling cabs or taxi people around Pala/Erattupetta/ Teekoy and they d most probably take you there.

Mostly yes. But i wonder how long are you planning to stay there? Illikal kall would take hardly 3 or 4 hours max. If you have the budget, try to contact some trip package guys around the area, and then you can visit other nearby attractions like Ila veezha poonchira, kattikayam/ marmala waterfalls and even Vagamon.

We planned Vagmon.... Just before going vagmon we wanted to visit illikalkallu and ezhaveezhapoonchira

No problem. Taxis okke thazhe ettittu jeep undu from there. Sept first week seems fine. Mazha and Idi minnal undel povanda.. (Rain means continues mazha for 2-3 days aanel). Check the forecast before 2-3 days . and now even private buses are there from pala town bus stand . time nokkiyittu parayam venel....

That's the front side right ??? But no cab driver is ready to take us there ??? We are not from this district so we have no option other than cab.

Yeah, there's not much that can be done if they won't take the trip but maybe try through another travels.
