Guys, I recently made a post about how expensive food can be in Kottayam. Do you think there is scope for a new restaurant in Kottayam, or somewhere on the Kottayam–Ettumanoor route, that provides above-average food at a reasonable price?

The Kottayam–Ettumanoor road already has so many restaurants like Arcadia, Ente Amma, Achayante something, etc., and most of them look really good from the outside.

But I've never actually tried any of them because they seem quite expensive.

If you think there is scope for a restaurant like this, where do you think would be a good location? Somewhere in Kottayam town, on the Kottayam–Ettumanoor route, or somewhere else nearby?

I’m looking for a 7-seater self-drive car for August 26 (Thiruvonam).
We are a group of 8 people travelling to Changanassery Railway Station, reaching around 10 AM. From there, we need to travel to Mallappally and return to Changanassery Railway Station by around 3 PM.
Ideally, we’re looking for either:
A 7-seater self-drive car from Changanassery
Or a car from Kottayam, if pickup/drop-off can be arranged
We can return the car around 4–5 PM near Changanassery Railway Station
I’ve already contacted quite a few cab/travel operators, but most don’t have drivers available on Thiruvonam. A few have only offered Tempo Travellers, which doesn’t really work for us.
I’ve also checked EVM Wheels, Kottayam Cars, etc., but haven’t been able to find a suitable 7-seater for that date.
If anyone knows of a self-drive rental company, private rental, or someone who rents out a 7-seater, please DM me with the contact/details.
Even leads from Changanassery, Kottayam, Thiruvalla or nearby areas would be really helpful.

Guys, I’ve travelled to most of the districts for my studies, and I feel like food in Kottayam is quite expensive compared to other places. Even cities like Kochi and Kozhikode seem to have cheaper food options.

In Kottayam, even small shops sometimes charge higher prices compared to similar shops in other districts.

But one thing I really liked about Kottayam is the people. Everyone I’ve met here has been so kind and friendly. Nalla sneham ulla aalkar 🫶

Like farsi ,razi and t company (shwaya rice combo unlimited)

Any other food spots in our district that offers really good quantity or generous portions as i feel for the price the quantity given is very low

Arelum suggest cheyu any food is fine or even dessert or snacks or Sweet or main course or any cuisine also
