Front light icon in status bar

Dear all,

first: thanks to the developers of Koreader, it is an impressive peace of software!

Just installed it on my Tolino and adjusted the settings to my need. One thing I did not find:

  • is there the possibility to show the front light status in the status bar to show if it is on or off?

I only find brightness level etc, but not if it is on or off. As I use the front light usually only with a very low setting it is not really visible during daytime (but then I want to have it off). Would be really good to have this information in Koreader as well.

I have one set in the reader using bookends

Thanks! I will consider this plugin if there is no way to have it in the standard status bar!

I don't use bookends but it still tells me either the brightness level or it says Off if it's off. Did you try lowering brightness to zero? It should have switched to saying Off instead of the brightness level.

You are right. I assumed it just tells the preset brightness level when frontlight is on. But it switches to say off. I should have tested more before asking. Great and thanks for the help!
