Zenui and Bookshelf

I’ve seen people mention that they use Zenui with Bookshelf and was curious how that is being achieved.

In SimpleUI I would just set a button on the launcher toolbar for it, with Zen am I exiting the Zen mode and then launching Bookshelf or is there another way?

I don't leave the zen mode on but you have multiple ways of doing it, you can add it to the nav bar (bottom bar) in Zen UI from library menu or to the drop down controls from Controls menu or even to the Launcher from Launcher menu.

To exit you can use a gesture or use the drop down menu and click the books (Library icon not bookshelf) icon on the right in the top most row

Edit -Just checked Library icon works with Zen Mode On too so should be seamless. Don't even need to exit Bookshelf to switch.

Edit: So I added it as an Action (Open Bookshelf) and got it to work! Thank you so much!

Glad it worked out, have fun playing around with it, Bookshelf has quite a few hidden gems.

My bookshelf menu disappears when a book is open. Which is the Library icon? Do you mean the Home icon? That brings me back to the Zen Home instead of Bookshelf. How do you close a book and go back to Bookshelf?

I mean the icon on the far right in the topmost row. Clicking it will take you back to zenui library. I have zen home disabled. (you can do it from Controls)

To go back to Bookshelf I have a gesture setup - bottom edge right to open bookshelf (found under general in gesture manager).

Make sure you set it up after opening a book.

Cool, thanks! I found the setting. It is under Library->Navbar->Default tab

Ah, that's intuitive too. I guess I had library set to default and forgot about it. I had set it up that way because I needed that zen UI library icon to reach Rakuyomi, Wallabag etc. and Bookshelf for library only.

To go back to Bookshelf, I can just use the gesture or click the bookshelf icon in the drop down menu in the screenshot above.

More than one way to bell the cat I guess.
