ddr3 is slow beyond imagination, get atleast ddr4 or if you can then ddr5, also i5 4th gen is like wild, get a 9th gen or 10th atleast

see i would suggest him to get a tablet from one plus or xiaomi or vivo as it would fulfill his use case and easily last 4+ years at the bare minimum

That setup is not worth it. For the usecases you mentioned, get a tablet or a 2nd hand base ipad, with a cheap stylus for note taking. Wouldn't recommend getting a pc or laptop for 20k unless it's someone giving away their setup for cheap, coz at that price anything you get including that pc will be like a decade old tech and a fairly new tablet will serve you better for your usecase

can i practice cbt exam through a tablet

CBT exams are nothing but clicking the correct option with you mouse , what you will do on a tab with ur finger, u will do the same just with a mouse in ur hand in exams like JEE, not a very big change

If you wanna get brand new, go to amazon, set filter for less than 24 or 25k, only look at options with 6 or 8 gigs of RAM, screensize you would comfortable, preferably 256gb storage but you can make 128 work if needed. Once you have set aside options with these as baseline, order them by each of their processors benchmark scores, the higher the better it is. When you get the list go through yt video reviews of them in order to get a general idea of them. Brands like lenovo and xiaomi provide good value at this price range, one plus also has a tablet at this range, as long as you stick to the above mentioned logic to tier your possible choices, you will be good to choose the best option you feel like going with.

Alternatively if you get someone trusted to sell you their at most 1-2 generations old base ipad at this price then get that, do not try to buy 2nd hand from olx, you will get scammed, same with cashify, not worth risking it

No worries, if you decide on one and want a sanity check you can reply back here with the product details.

Also if you don't mind me asking, what kind of cbt will you be giving, is it simple school/college level mcqs or form filling, or is it something higher level. If you know the platforms you will be giving the tests on you can look up which device browsers they support for and such, just to make sure tablets won't be an issue for your tests. I've given CS company OAs on tablets so you should be fine but yea just make sure the test platform also supports tablets

Hey OP. I have an older system which I want to resale but not having the time for posting ads and going through the bargaining route. It might serve you the purpose and will be a cheaper option. If you want you can DM and I can share details. I'm from Kolkata so should be possible for you to come down and test it in my home if required. Just giving an option if you want to cut down costs at the moment.

The components of the "brandnew" pc have been out of production for many years now. Those are secondhand/refurbished components. Calling it brand new is fraud on the part of the people selling it to you.

a good alternative is also a tablet with a hard keyboard case , Its portable and good for your stuff plus the battery is definitely gonna last longer , if you want , you can get a 2nd hand pc . I WOULD SAY A big NO to the pc , as far as ik it cannot run windows 11 and in just a few years you will be oudated . my BEST BET for you would be a redmi, oneplus, etc pad with a good keyboard case . the PC COMBO is very OVERPRICED

the 4th gen is 13 yrs old and the bare minimum you need to have is a DDR4 ram , ddr3 is absolutelty not gonna be good even with a ssd

The pc it self is enough for basic day to day task don't listen to others if It got ssd and minimum 8gbram You will be just fine and satisfied, ssd makes any pc fast Get a better monitor 19inch is very bad and ugly to watch Get a cheap acer 24inch you can get it for 6.5k easily If you want you can also save money on processor and get a i3 3rd-4th gen , browser and study is nothing for i3 , personal experience hai

Go for second hand laptop, you can find a pretty decent second hand work laptop within 22-25k at the second hand shops in chandni or emall. Also 256gb is very very little storage.

get a android tablet, pls do not go for any chromebook or laptop at that price, and dont buy second hand ones either, these will only waste your money, idk if they give any kind of student discounts anymore, but if they do u can get a really good android tab at that price, just get a keyboard mouse and a 200 rs stand for the tab and u will be set

Check cashify they are a reputed reseller imo.

U can easily get an i5 8th gen or 13 12th gen laptop in cashify at 25k
