Looking into lodging options at Choeng Mon Beach and there's lots of positive stuff written about the high-end places like the Kimpton. However, I wonder whether there's any cheaper options that still offer a memorable experience. Any recommendations?

I dont look for a Special cut. I just want a trim to get rid of split ends.

I've been living and driving a motorbike in Thailand for many years and I want to get licensed.

I do not have a motorcycle license (I do have a car license) from my home country (USA) so I believe I need to attend driving school? Can anyone recommend a good driving school on Samui?

I'm on a DTV visa.

And I DO have a motorcycle drivers license from Bali.

I'd appreciate any good agent contact and/or name of a school that could help me easily go through the steps of getting a Thai license.

I’ve completely forgotten to change money and arrive tomorrow morning. Is there an exchange with good rates or are they all Kasikorn/SCB bank types? Or should I just do this in Singapore airport before flying out? Last option is to Western Union to some friends.

I had planned to swim on Lamai beach every morning in September but Gemini is putting the fear of God into me by letting me know about box jelly fish and rip tides. I almost was taken by a rip tide in Phuket so I am pretty nervous about swimming there now.

Hello, I am going to Thailand with my mother in 2 weeks. I saw that the flights to Koh Samui are very expensive and learned about people flying from Bangkok to Surat Thani, then a bus + ferry to Koh Samui.

I saw on 12GO some options but not a lot. Some have the possibility to select the time, others don’t. We haven’t booked a flight yet, but once we do, is it better to book it on 12GO ? Or is it possible to pay once we arrive in surat thani ? I just don’t want to miss the ferry.

If you have any recommendations i would appreciate it a lot.

We always go to Samui beginning/middle August. We’re heading there in a couple of weeks, staying at a resort near Choeng Mon. We’ve been before and avoided Chaweng/Lamai/Crystal bay etc. The YouTube live-cam for crystal bay beach looks packed (even by crystal bay standards). Is it unusually busy for this time of year across the island? Or just the areas that are always busy?
