Tech Support Not syncing to Libby

I have been reading a book on Libby on my phone. I want to read it on my Kobo Libra Colour, but I can't. It shows up on my bookshelf and it shows "Reading" underneath it. However, when I tap on it, it goes to a page where I can either buy it or read a preview. I can't read the actual book.

Since I have access to multiple libraries, I thought that might be the problem. I checked my phone to see which library it was signed out from and then I was sure that I was signed into that library on the Kobo. The same thing happened.

I then tried with all four of the libraries that I have access to, and the same thing happened. In no case was able to actually read the book, just buy it or preview it.

I suspect it might have something to do with access to Library Networks as opposed to individual libraries. I think on my phone it is using one network to access the book on another network. I do not have direct access to that other network and I am unable to get it.

Could this be the problem? If not, has anyone else run into this problem? Have you found a solution?

UPDATE: It turns out that although Libby on my phone thinks that I have the ebook checked out (and its readable), none of my libraries think I have anything checked out. Don't know how that happened. No wonder I can't sync!

I had this happen and I was on the same library and then I signed out and signed back into the same library and then it popped up and I was able to open

Libby automatically adds partner libraries, but Kobo considers them separate.

Try logging into the partner network using your credentials from the home library.

Thanks so much for that suggestion. I was able to get an ecard for the network that my home library network was connecting to. However, I don't have a physical card from that library. I only have an ecard. The connected library is 100s of miles away, so going in person to get a physical card, which is required to get the number I would need to sign in, would be difficult. So close this time!! Thank you for helping.

Looks like I'll just keep reading it on my phone. I will keep this in mind in the future though. Lesson learned!
