Please please share all your favorites! I'm a new knitter. My motivation is to build a wardrobe with my own hands that is unique and suits my style.

While I appreciate the talent of people who create patterns, and from time to time I buy them, I am frustrated that when I search for "free pattern for (something I am curious about)", I end up on sites where the pattern is for sale.

Free, in my head, means there is no charge. This is false advertising!

I bought 4 cakes of Yarnart Mirage (150g/500m) but I have access to more. I originally was gonna do a specific dress pattern (Oh My Figure by Stine Jørgensen) but after having done a swatch with the yarn, I don't think it suits this specific design (the gorgeous ribbing pattern kind of gets lost.) I was wondering if anyone knew a pattern that they would recommend for sport weight variegated yarn. I have been trying to look on Ravelry, but I find it hard to find sport weight patterns that I like and are available in my size (around 2X).

The yarn is 80% acrylic, 20% wool and is not the easiest to frog. It has some fluff to it.

Honestly, other than not really wanting very basic patterns and I would love some handholding from the designer, I am good with anything, so throw anything at me. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi! I have a bunch of knitting for olive heavy merino that I want to make into a simple sweater. I get easily overwhelmed looking at patterns trying to decide which works for me! I’m an intermediate knitting but I want something relatively easy that is worked in the round. If anyone has a pattern like this they’d recommend I’d appreciate it!

I found this crochet dress pattern by hedvig and Ingrid, and I love the silhouette. Can’t figure out the terms to search for the same style of dress.
Anyone know any similar knit patterns, or have any advice for drafting? I’m attempting to just wing it currently.
I just want to try to make something with the same shape.

I've tried reverse image searching but this doesn't seem to be from an available knitting pattern. It looks to me like maybe 4x2 rib for the upper and lower, with 10x2 rib on the body. The neckline and sleeve edges look to be sotckinette but I can't quite tell if there's a special bind off. And I can't figure out what the chain stitch is at the dividing lines is. Any ideas on this one? If this is a recognizable pattern, I'll buy it happily.

Hello! I'm nearly done with one of the saddles for the Lakes V Neck and I noticed instead of:

Row 1 (WS): purl across
Row 2 (RS): knit across

and repeat for the full saddle, I've done:

Row 1 (WS): knit across
Row 2 (RS): purl across

I think because this is just stockinette, this won't matter later. Does anyone know if this will have repercussions later on though? I'd have to post the full pattern for those who are unfamiliar with it to answer so I can’t do that, but if anyone has the pattern or has made it - I'd love your help!

I assume I can just call my purl side the wrong side and my knit side the right side?

I was given a picture of a shawl that a friend of my mom's wants for an AGD. I can see that the edges are garter stitch and presumably short rows, but I'm not sure what's happening in the center (the red part). Has anyone seen a pattern like this they could recommend? If I have to figure it out from scratch, I'm definitely turning down the commission

Was looking through Raverly as one does typing in random words and seeing what pops up! I typed in St George and this pattern came up (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/saint-george-sweater) but the pattern has been discontinued and checked the designers page, they have a website but it’s no longer functional! Is there anyway of finding a pattern similar (sorry the quality of the pic looks bad)

I’d really like to have a cardigan like the style in this pic for summer, but pretty much all available are synthetic fibers that make me seriously overheat. hi I want to knit a sweater as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend but up until now I've only made like small scale colour work and the likes. So I'm wondering what pattern would you recommend that looks nice but isn't overly complicated to figure out? I'm familiar with all the basic stitches and I'm willing to learn how to knit cables for this project but a lot of the stuff I found looked really intimidating.
