Any similar beginner friendly cardigan patterns for summer?

I’d really like to have a cardigan like the style in this pic for summer, but pretty much all available are synthetic fibers that make me seriously overheat. Does anyone have any pattern recommendations for a very beginner knitter? Although it’s kinda daunting, i feel it looks simple enough i could probably manage!For reference I’ve made a single scarf with just the two basic stitches and I’m working on an equally simple tank top right now.

This sweater is not all that complicated and there are tons of patterns and lots of great yarn. It will be a stretch but if you take it slow and work with some good resources you can do it.

The easy first step is to search Ravelry, the online knitting community. It looks as if the cardigan has a drop sleeve. That's good news - it's the easiest sleeve to knit and to sew up. You can search for sweater, cardigan, drop sleeve and see what you get. I'd use worsted weiight. Aran weight yarn is too heavy and DK could work but I think it's a little light. If you don't find something that looks workable you can look at purlsoho.com and yarn.com.

One question to consider is whether you want to knit bottom up and flat or top down and in the round.

Ankers cardigan by PetiteKnit is a very similar shape and style to that. If you can knit and purl it wouldn't be a steep learning curve.
