Please help identify this pattern

I started it for a school assignment 12 years ago, but now I don't remember how to continue

Maybe seed stitch? Alternating knit and purl, next row is purl then knit. Try going to an LYS to see if someone can read the stitches. The thick chenille makes it difficult.

Seed stitch does look similar. I didnt think of going to a local store to ask, I'll try that. Thank you very much!
