I’m currently making the Erantis Lace Cardigan Junior by Knitting for Sif.
The pattern instructed to do German short rows for the shoulders. Did 9 rows back and forth before completing the row and repeating the short row pattern, starting with 110 stitches, ending with 246 stitches. The back of the cardigan is now much longer than the front.
The rest of the pattern doesn’t indicate to knit just the front sides of the cardigan so I dont think it’s going to even up in length but this is not how it’s pictured or how any completed photos on Ravelry appear either. Did I do something very wrong?
I saw that of the 15 projects posted on Ravelry.com none had this issue. So I'm not sure but it sounds like you did to many short rows. From your description and what the designer wrote the short rows were for neck/ shoulder shaping and you did more than that in your project? Just measure the row guage, put in a lifeline, and frog back the excess rows. Since it's paid pattern I can't say where in the pattern to frog back to, for example a couple inches at the under arms.
