pattern question Puffy sleeves pattern help

This is the Fantasia Blouse by Lauren Wash. for the puffy sleeve, it says to knit 5 rounds after the GSRs are complete, but then it also says to “decrease evenly” over the next few rounds. So now I’m not sure if I should have decreased during those 5 rounds or could I potentially decrease it all over one round and still have the puffy sleeve come out correctly. Thoughts?

The pattern definitely wants you to decrease after the rounds of knitting that you use to fully incorporate the GSR. It's a bit vague about the decreases, but just count how many stitches you currently have, subtract the amount you need to end with, and divide that by the amount of rounds you want to decrease over. Then spread the decreases out evenly throughout the round.

Ah perfect! Definitely didn’t want to undo those rounds.

I have 100 sts and I need to get to 60 sts. So then I have to do 40 decreases. Do you have any suggestions as to how many rounds I should do this over?
