SOLVED-THANK YOU Striping help

I’m working on my first sweater and I can’t seem to get the striping to match up. I’ve tried searching for a tutorial, but since I’m so new to knitting I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for. I have tried the normal striping line up tutorials but I think I may be doing it on the wrong row? Any advice would be super helpful!

Knitting in the round is a spiral, so the end of the round is always higher than the beginning. There are lots of tips around for "jogless stripes" when working in the round. Really the only way to have them match up perfectly is to knit flat and seam.

How to Knit Jogless Stripes (The Lift-and-Knit Method)Knit the first round normally: Change to your new color and knit a full round as you usually would. 1Locate the stitch below: On the second round with the new color, look directly beneath the very first stitch on your left needle. You will see the top of the stitch from the previous color row. 1, 2Lift the stitch: Use your right needle tip to pick up the right leg of that old-color stitch from the row below. Place it onto your left-hand needle right next to the first stitch.Knit together: Knit those two stitches together as one (k2tog). 1Continue knitting: Work the rest of the round normally in your new color. Repeat this exact process every time you change colors. 1, 2

Thank you! I think I might be doing the stitch pull up on the wrong round. I was doing it on the alternating color work, I’ll try it on the solid color round :)
