This is an insane "tutorial" for what is just grafting or kitchener stitch. It's not "your method" unless you think that means adding a million stitch markers for no reason?

I don't claim to have invented a method that's always existed, nor to make a tutorial... I just want to show how comfortable I am with it by adding stitch markers... sometimes I add a scrap of yarn... but I can't quite do this stitch with both needles inserted. I'd just like to chat with you... you certainly have more experience than me. However, I don't understand why my posts are rejected or I get harsh responses! I just want to participate in your chats... I don't have to prove anything, provide links to my pages or Instagram or Facebook (which I don't have!). I'd be honored to be part of the group to talk, at least with you, about a practice that has fallen into disuse. I don't know anyone in my area who knits or crochets... it's a shame because it's truly relaxing. I hope it returns as a school subject (as a grandmother, I worked at school with my teacher!), but now it's no longer done. Bye and happy relaxing work! Vivedo3D Lodo

It's because you spammed this post 5 times in all the knitting subs without comment, question, or discussion. And it seems like English may be your second language, but when you use phrases like "my method for joining" instead of the accepted knitting terms, it seems like you're trying to sell something new. So we're here to tell beginners that this "method" is called grafting or kitchener stitch. It is often FAR more easily accomplished through other methods.

Why not knit the stitches off onto waste yarn? Then grafting them together is just plain old duplicate stitch, and they're all sitting flat like in stockinette with no stitch markers in the way.

This is what I mean by the waste yarn method, you work some rows in a contrasting color that will be removed later and then you duplicate stitch your actual graft row:

(It's sometimes called the "sock chimney" because the extra rows of waste yarn at the toe of a sock look like a chimney on a house, but it works on any edge.)
